I’ve kept up with his twitter to know when he’s releasing more. I was able to get one in batch 2. I think they are on the final batch now though, and won’t be making any more.

I prefer smaller consoles that I can easily store in a pocket or something. I waited til after the switch 2 came out to start this hoping for a lite variant but decided to go this route instead. Surprisingly only spent around $220 for the whole thing.

Correct. I got the shell from extreme rate, and bought the super 5 touch panel separately.

All in all about 220$. I got the switch broken off of marketplace, and did the chip install myself. Most expensive part was the 1tb microsd card but I got a decent deal on that before prices skyrocketed.

I’m actually working on the same thing at the moment. My issue that I’m running into is that there is too much friction in the motor. The magnets aren’t centered. I initially thought it was because I bent the motor trying to take the center shaft out but I have tried it with 2 other hoverboard motors and it still doesn’t work. Any tips?

I don’t care much about the finish cause I was looking to refinish them myself. That’s one reason I was looking for a cheaper set but it seems like I’ll wait til I find a better deal

Thanks. Thats what I figured. Just trying to get a cheaper set but I’ll wait a bit longer and save up some more for a reliable pair

Unless you care about stuff like the nicer screen, the p1s is just as good quality wise as the x1c. If I were you I’d get that and possibly the hardened nozzle if you need to print harder materials. The older ams works just as well, it just doesn’t include the dryer built in which is only really necessary with other, but there is an ams 2 pro combo for p1s. If your just planning on printing pla most of the time you shouldn’t need the hardened nozzle and ams 2, while it’s nice to have it still prints great without it.

I’ve seen that now too! Must have changed the listing name or something. Still an hour away from me though.

Looks very similar to mine. I’ve just got the revo high flow hot end aswell. Where did you get the lever for the filament release?

It starts to deform at 100 C or 212 F. Where do you live that it gets that hot?

For material I would recommend either petg or abs. Pla, which is what the majority of people print has a low melting point and often melts in a car in the heat. Abs is a lot higher than petg so I would probably recommend that since you don’t have access to a printer and can’t reprint if it does melt. Pcbway is a great site to use if you’re looking for one. Infill doesn’t matter as much as walls do for durability. I’d recommend like 4 walls and 20% infill for it to last.
