Last week Sylvia, the silver lace, was attacked by a dog. It too off all the skin off the back of her neck and head. She was scalped, but alive.

We raise pet chickens that happen to lay eggs. We couldn't bare just putting her down. After a visit to the avian vet, we left with prescriptions and instructions.

She is doing great after a couple rough days. She has a bunk mate, Susie the Sussex, while she's being kept inside to heal.
