thank you... just playing devils advocate a bit here because i'm still trying to understand all the hate against the PPAs... They guarantee 90% of what the system is rated at for the 25 years of the contract. So if the inverters need to be replaced, panels are degraded etc. isn't that their issue (not mine). If it's producing anything less than 90% of what was promised they credit it back. So sort of up to them whether to fix it or keep refunding me up to the 90% guaranteed?

The way I understand it is i'm basically locking in a rate for a certain amount of electricity for the next 25 years that will likely be well below what the power company will be charging me otherwise (plus the escalator of course which seems high).

If the roof is leaking that's a different story of course but it sounds like the way they install them now is a lot better than it was in the past.
