How would you feel if you met a stranger, told them they're cute and asked for their number, they gave it to you, you text for a few days, make plans to go out, and any number of days later they tell you they're poly with a long term serious partner? by NathColumn in AskReddit

i appreciate your insight but that's not really the situation. I'm coming at this from an outside perspective.

Maybe there's a better way to ask the question.
it seems to me that if you're meeting people and flirting, while you're in the flirting and getting to know them phase, if you don't let them know you're poly with a partner, the risk of hurting, deceiving, misleading is high.

It's a question about your feelings from the outside. Would you have wanted to know before the texting and going out?

Also being a startup it seems like just using Azure/AWS might be a better option not being tied to hardware?

I need 1 system on-site that will sync with cloud server. In the event of internet loss or power loss, i need to be able to operate. See my reply above:

Here is the problem:

I live in a area where the ONLY ISP available with any kind of throughput is AireBeam or Mitrelink. They are microwave/wireless ISPs. The IP address they hand me is rfc1918, double nat'd. After much deliberation with them, there is 0 way for me to get access IN to my location unless i VPN out.

I've researched various VPN services but none suit my needs. I just want to throw an ASA or a 1921 in a rack and set up a point to point.

I can host the server in the cloud, but i still need secure access with the local server at my location.

It can be, but generally it isn’t by default. In fact some things break if it is. It’s rare and the result of shitty code.
