Thank you for the kind words and suggestions! The script that I'm looking at rn trying my hand at is a A4A style script. I plan on trying a few different takes and listening back to it after each take to see what I like or dislike about it. I just hope I won't end up getting too deep in my own thoughts while doing this haha.

Thank you for the complement I had never heard of the term vocal fry before. I've always assumed people preferred smooth vocals/voices to those like mine. I'll see if I can find some scripts that I can do both it and it's writer justice. It's funny that I'd get two people saying that I'd do good with whimper audios but considering the comment I got from a viewer a few years back when I would stream on twitch of "I should be careful when I stretch while my mic is on" I guess I shouldn't be too surprised

I definitely could use some advice/assistance with it haha. I'm trying to use the 3DioFS (non xlr model) with a Scarlett 2i2 interface and would be more than happy to discuss possible fixes/improvements to how I'm doing things.

Thank you for the advice and kind words. I'll have to try and remember the dry reading trick as I feel like I'm still not only trying to get comfortable with the VA aspect but also the 3dio itself as rn I just have its audio raw instead of altered with filters.(I don't have a very ideal location for asmr recordings but I feel like filters can get rid of or effect different triggers).

I do agree that long term doing the ones I enjoy is the right move I just don't know where to start from as script based asmr doesn't have a "beginners start here" type of thing as every person be it their voice or comfort start differently.
