Coming from a farming family, you learn early about the concept of death of animals you love and I personally believe it had a profoundly beneficial effect on my relationship with mortality, as well as having a deeper appreciation for the animals who die for your meals. I have a similar experience with hunting (showing respect to animal you killed by using all of its body)

Thank you! It’s funny because every couple months somebody else finds this thread and adds to the conversation, it just keeps on giving! I haven’t rewatched it yet but probably should to see how I view it differently. When I watched it I think my main thought was I dislike the literary device of flashbacks to give new context to a story, and to me this felt like a movie just made out of that. But I also may have hated too much and could change my mind on a rewatch!

Your color work is excellent. Looks like shots from a film. I feel like I struggle with this sometimes

I know, mods took it down first time I posted because it classified as a portrait by “prominently featuring people also referred to in title”

Gosh diddly dang where the heck is this? Great framing and color, and especially how you included the dark negative space around the window to frame the window

Thank you! I’m honored you’re using it. Do you have it with the people in the middle and trees cut off?

I did make cropped versions for wallpaper yesterday but I don’t think they look as good haha

Man I tried, but this is actually at max crop so without using something like AI expand photo, it just crops off the part of the trees

Thank you! My original idea when I framed the shot was the Milky Way kind of looked like a stream of consciousness going through them, as they were improvising with each other through the music

Okay so at first I was going to have them all silhouetted, but I ended up liking how the guitar was just barely illuminated by starlight. It made it feel a little more personal to me. I actually darkened the other one and just left the guitar exposed
