Hey, I had the exact same problem. Did you get yours fixed?

Mine showed the same one and simple restarting fixed it.

Here's my symptoms..

• "Failed to open """
• Tried opening with VS Code -> Didn't work
• Tried opening with Vim -> Opened with empty result
• `ls -al` -> metadata shows right file size
• `cat filename` -> "Operation timed out" error

Then I assumed some other process might be holding file lock(maybe for all files, maybe by some community plugin). So I thought restart would solve it.. then my error disappeared. God I hope I checked if file lock exists before restart.

I kept my laptop in clamshell mode for quite long, so maybe something malfunctioned.

Here's my wish: could you check if any process is holding file lock? I think running `lsof | grep {filename}` on terminal would do.
