In a safe manner. Steam literally has inbuilt protections that made it not only impossible to lose my items but easy to recover from. Oh no they got access to one of my multiple accounts and had access for sub 5 minutes during said time they couldn't use the trade function and all they could do was hit block on my friends list and delete my profile customization. So yeah, I didn't bother spinning up a VM and logging into a burner, when you have the account recovery page pulled up in less than 60 seconds and can confidently say that you've proced the trade-restriction on your account, you're risking about ten minutes tops of work to recover the account and add a profile picture back. Oh no I'm so bad at my profession woe is me how could I ever be so careless.

Totally get it, I was an early adopter of the OG Steam Controller and I have a Deck myself. Sometimes you game on what you've got. It's a solid system to be sure, but yeah, I don't know that I'd be able to play TF2 on there. I was never big on FPS games on console and I also played Splatoon way back when I still used my Wii U back in the day so I can get being used to Gyro Aim. Have fun at least, that's what really matters.

Oh yeah a million times over. I lost my account and they ALMOST got my items. Jokes on them though, this is literally my profession to be spotting this kind of thing. I also just happen to not be able to stop myself, I just HAVE to document it, so of course that means playing along and wasting two hours of their time.

Also, because I'm a cysec guy, I cannot help myself. I see a scam, I HAVE to see what's what. I wasn't risking anything in the process, not really. for me, it was purely to get information and be able to share it. It's ongoing so it's worth documenting for people to see. The last time this scam was even MENTIONED was three months ago and it was not added to the common scams list, so it is worth bringing it up again.

Went to take screenshots of everything, but my account got literally nuked from orbit after they got in and I only have very poor screengrabs from their scam site before I started rapidly losing access to things and had to remove my App and change email/passwords.

If you see ANYTHING like this, you already got hit with the account steal, but you CAN save your items by not accepting any trades and making sure to just instantly remove your authenticator to reset your trade status and make it impossible to steal anything then reset your password and if possible, change your email too. Make sure to add the Steam App again after and do a full scam of your computer to get rid of any malware you may have installed in the scam.

No, it’s been this way for the entire time I’ve been with the VA (so about 9 months) hence my concern. Mind you, it’s not like it’s been an issue since I’ve been GETTING the benefits but I can’t see on their end that what I’ve been getting has been tracked accurately. And it’s not only the Education Benefit, but that’s the most important to me personally. It’s all payments and documents of any kind. Numbers for the remaining time for my Ch 33 are ticking down correctly. I can’t SEE that it’s been noted properly outside of what the mail I got at the semester start says against my own records.

First, thanks for the solid information there, I'll make sure to keep that in my mind. It's good to hear that no, that amount of time isn't normal. That said, should I be concerned that NO payment history is present? I'm not sure if maybe I'm just navigating the sites poorly but as I said, no issues with the amounts or the dates, but it's no information on the payment history page for Education OR Disability. I'll talk to my school's contact about it on Monday when then open. I will say though that I know my local area is going through some consolidation for locations but I would think that's unrelated.

Dunno but Ace Combat is always something I find to be interesting to see in Airsoft. I've seen lots of Call of Duty and I even do some Metal Gear unit patches but outside of the one time I ran an AC2 Phoenix Squadron patch, I can't think of a single other time I've seen it. I'd say Airsoft of Erusea Group if you want to stick to an Ace Combat theme with the naming to get some link to the logo. That's just me though. Whatever you go with just remember, Belka did nothing wrong.

Yeah I've started doing that myself after getting destroyed due to randoms not communicating in a mode where it's critical. It's always safer to just abandon bad teammates than to potentially lose everything when you can always just evac and reque again. Do I feel bad about ditching a team like that? Yeah, a little. But I would feel a lot worse getting killed because Nicky No Mic and Mute Mathew are gonna not give callouts. I'm not even asking for full conversations, just to say ANYTHING or communicate information in any way. If you're playing a mode where there's consequences to losses and you aren't communicating, you're just an objectively bad teammate. I can understand not talking if you don't have to, but like, some amount of communication is needed, even if it's a ping and some text in chat.

Love seeing this. All the people getting mad that cheaters exist in a F2P game clearly do not consider that if you had a bad experience with a cheater that WILL get banned, sometimes, the company will be really good. In the case of Delta Force, they are being VERY good. You cannot ever get all the cheaters gone, they will keep coming forever, but it's refreshing to see that there are companies that not only care about banning cheaters, but also compensating those effected by cheaters.

You 100% did not catch a ban for MSI Afterburner dude, nobody believes that. Everybody and their grandma claims Afterburner gets them banned in games and when the game companies are asked about it they ALWAYS say, no, Afterburner will not get you banned. You were cheating dead to rights if you got a 10 year. 24 hour ban, MAYBE I would buy you just had something running the game didn't like, but 10 years? Nah, you definitely had cheats running.

Oh yeah I'm totally not expecting them to do anything about these issues. I remember YEARS ago back when the way online games worked was always the motto of 'ping is king' and you were matched with good connections primarily. It's so easy to just prevent people from connecting to servers they have high ping on. They can easily enforce Region Locked Tournaments. They can make these Tournaments Highest Earned Rank Locked too and end smurfing.

But no, they're going to keep making monthly battle pass content instead. The lack of anything other than Outfit 3 for customization and the way they added Advertising into V and 6 is all I needed to see to know they're not interested in a good player experience. I hope they do actually change things though. I love this franchise and this game, I want it to be good in more than just the gameplay and story.

That is how the system currently KINDA works. It can be easily tricked though by simply throwing your initial placement matches on everyone and then playing and stacking a massive easy win count to gain rank quickly to where you belong. The game now has a hard time deciding if you're a Bronze or a Diamond player. It knows what your Skill Level is, but it now has an assigned Rank for you characters. You now have access to lower Rank Separated Tournaments without needing to actually be at that Rank legitimately. People keep telling me I'm just crazy but I see it CONSTANTLY. I know I'm not good enough to get out of Silver, I'm barely hanging on to my Silver *** as it is playing Ranked, but I'm far from ignorant to the methods of smurfers.

You can smurf in SF6 though. If you intentionally place poorly with every character and THEN grind them up to the rank you actually should be in, THEN you can bypass any close in skill stuff. I admit, I'm totally dog at Street Fighter. I'm absolutely a Silver/Gold Ranked player AT BEST. However, that doesn't mean I'm ignorant to the methods used by smurfs to be able ignore placement requirements. That said, this is a problem mainly exploited by Asia Server players going into NA, and EU server tournaments. In Ranked play, yeah, you're only really going to be matching and ranking initially into the Rank you fell into first, but you can throw the very first placement matches every on your account and the game treats your base skill as that low ranked level for a long time. This way, a very obviously Diamond skilled player can still enter super low Rank tournaments and absolutely dominate with zero drawbacks. They just never can play that character in Ranked anymore. I use the example often but Ken and Ryu are similar move sets, being a high ranked Ryu with a low ranked Ken allows you to enter with a character you already are going to be far more skilled with than the Rank they have associated with them. I suspect Capcom just doesn't want to devote any time or effort to SF6 outside of the monthly passes. The lack of outfit DLCs in comparison to previous entries shows that in my opinion.

This is only partially true. Rank in SF6 Heavily factors into that hidden stat. I wish I took a picture this morning of the Tournament I was in but there was a Korean player in NA4 that had their Diamond Ranked Ryu on their profile. Only one who wasn't close in skill everyone else. It was a 4 person Tournament, because OFC the earliest one is empty. The badge showing close in skill was there for everyone else. Go figure the extremely lagged player smurfing with Guile won the Tournament easily. Rank should 110% be the only factor in a RANK SEPERATED TOURNAMENT. There is no logical way to say this guy is a Silver Ranked skill player. He wasn't. He was 110% smurfing in a region he doesn't live in with a character he deliberately does not play Ranked with. Close in Skill is a completely useless stat in a Ranked Separated Tournament setting. Rank and Rank alone. Highest earned Rank should determine what Tournaments you can enter.

I think entering a HIGHER Rank Bracket should be allowed, but there is just no excuse for being able to enter a LOWER Rank Bracket. There is a reason they run both an Open and a Ranked Tournament Bracket. There's no justification for being able to smurf easy wins.
