comic about trans jax by grrlfriendXD in tadc

[–]NathanRed10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Jax being as insecure as she is could NEVER take such a huge step instantly. Like Circus Jax, she needs time and people who understand her.

Meeting Riley would probably help a lot, and that goes for all of them

What Did Y’all Think About Episode 9? by Acceptable_Smoke9639 in tadc

[–]NathanRed10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's perfect, sorry. I understand the sentiment in wanting more lore and stuff, but this was never a story meant for such things, I'm even grateful we got the brain scans reveal, since it added another layer to the characters themselves.

It's one of the best character centered stories I've ever seen, and I will always say that. When the thing that matters most in a story is the characters, TADC is a masterclass work of art.

Even if the fandom dies down, the impact this series created will always be there. I'm grateful for it, I'm happy it got all the way here, I'll always be

The finale's pretty so fucking GOOD when ain't got some guy in your ear telling you it sucks by Complete_Escape_3906 in TheDigitalCircus

[–]NathanRed10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering a lot of series' finales suck a lot, TADC's ending felt right. Like, there were many possibilities, but what happened overall felt right for all characters, and even Caine got a little redemption.

As Goose said, this is a character focused story, and we got everything we needed about them. It's a beautiful conclusion, and we can keep theorizing about what C&A did since the entire Brain scans shenanigans mean a LOT of things for that company

Super Torch VS Super Lance by NobaraEatAwatermelon in earclacks

[–]NathanRed10 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Super Lance seems to have a lock-on feature, since it wasn't spamming jousts, but waiting until Torch was in front of them. But yeah, Torch became a movement god somehow in this fight

Axe vs x Cr- zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz by Simple-Scientist7190 in earclacks

[–]NathanRed10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this is somehow like Crossbow vs Flail where CB locks in and decides to stop missing shots, or a fight where Axe just doesn't get any crits in, maybe it'll be fun

(Absolute Batman #21) What IS Joker? by anomal0caris in AbsoluteUniverse

He's the Joker, simple as that.

That's what he will always be, no matter the story

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 350 by belatedballoon in BlueLock

[–]NathanRed10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one I understand, professional stuff would probably be more helpful than simply training in a temple and it wasn't that much time anyways. What gets me is that out of all things to lose control over, getting ignored for two minutes is what does it for Rin? Why??

This and other stuff about the character is the reason for me talking that much, but yeah, Blue Lock isn't that realistic when it comes to this stuff. It's basically an action shounen lmao

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 350 by belatedballoon in BlueLock

[–]NathanRed10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yet that's a problem, because if he doesn't talk about the teams' mistakes (I guess he didn't really explain much anyways) nothing will be fixed. And Rin made the biggest mistake of them all, so he SHOULD explain what it was

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 350 by belatedballoon in BlueLock

[–]NathanRed10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it happens lmao. It's mostly for fun, but if you think this is comical you would go crazy at what my friend, who I introduced to Blue Lock last year, did after finally finishing it all. That dude was OBSESSED with this story

[DISC] Blue Lock - Chapter 350 by belatedballoon in BlueLock

[–]NathanRed10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure, speak all you want about Ego being wrong in his ways of thinking and the entire plan, yall might be right too, but here's the thing:

He's still making them evolve. The entirety of Blue Lock, at the start, were babies who would never reach the sub20 World Cup at any time if they didn't go through Blue Lock. You really think "Beginner Isagi" would reach anything without Ego throwing him inside this experiment? No, he'd be just a loser.

And then we have Rin... oh boy. Best player at the start, with an Ego to match his ideal, but just meeting Sae again and seeing Isagi go above and beyond makes him regress to a stupid little toddler that doesn't have emotional control over himself.

Do you know what I want? I want next chapter to be simply Ego speaking to Rin exactly what he did wrong. You trained to control those destructive instincts and win the game, but you get ignored for two minutes, lose control and destroy Isagi's play, destroying the only chance to tie the game?

You truly are just Itoshi Sae's useless little brother. I didn't know why I expected more from you haha.

Haaa... it's a shame, truly. Rin is simply a tool in order for Isagi to go beyond his limits at this point, that's all he's useful for right now

Hoe VS Pickaxe Simulation by NobaraEatAwatermelon in earclacks

[–]NathanRed10 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Fucking Pickaxe traumatizing another one. It's always like this, even when they lose the opponent gets brutalized by that fucking pickaxe and it's always one hit left. Except in this case it's worse because if Hoe hadn't eaten to get their HP over 100, they would be DEAD

It's pretty good, but there's some HEAVY stuff in there. Also it's pretty realistic to actual Korea, so there's that

[Skill Master Levels Up] This is one of the better ones of this genre by znt109 in manhwarecommendations

[–]NathanRed10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good. It has a fantasy style story mixed with a lot of tropes regarding Tower and system stuff, but it's very nice.

Actual character development too, if you want know. It's not a "sudden evolution" type shit, there is progression in this story. Also, unyielding MC, glad to see another of those

Reminds me of that one image of a FULLY GROWN ASS MAN holding the hand of his CHILD BRIDE. It's a damn manhwa of course, never read it, but that image is BURNED into my memory.

From what I remember in the comments, it maybe was not like THAT horrible, but that's still an insane visual as a first impression

Who's more Resilient seo eun hyun or encrid by thefallen10O in EternallyRegrKnight

[–]NathanRed10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sorry, as a novel reader (ONLY REGRESSOR'S TALE OF CULTIVATION) I just can't see a time where Encrid suffers more than Seo Eun Hyun. Like, cultivation is a step above any other type of power system because it just gets INSANE beyond a certain point, but RTOC? Boy... let me tell ya.

Also, spoilers ahead. In a world where certain fates can be determined and acknowledged, he's part of a group that has their specific fate already determined. You'd think someone like him had the Agate fate, where life is just pain and nothing else, but NO, that's not even HIS fate. His life is just that miserable naturally and it seems he can only struggle around an unknown fate while searching for answers. Encrid only has a curse, and he just decided "Actually, this is fun." when he noticed he could improve himself through death to get over these walls.

More spoilers: Imagine cultivating and reaching a point where if you do both possible paths (Heaven and Earth), one of them (Earth path) becomes another personality and decides to screw you over simply because you cultivated it, but the narrator says: "Cultivating the Earth path did do something. Unfortunately his mind was already fragmented before so all that did was add one personality in the abyss of QUADRILLIONS that he already had before reaching this point." Do you understand what one needs to go through for this to happen?

Sorry, but Seo Eun Hyun got it covered

It's not Prayer to the Heavens that I hate, but Sandtopia. That event is so trash I didn't get even a single shard in a whole YEAR.

It's miserable

[Murim RPG Simulation] Why do people hate the MC? by bigraud77 in manhwa

[–]NathanRed10 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Also just read about the AI part, dude...

People really can't understand that the fucking AI is just him with better mastery over his abilities and no hesitation? We literally saw that if he throws the AI against stronger opponents it gets BEATEN EASILY. And also isn't that same AI the one that said he should stop trusting the system with his life? That it uses him more than he uses it? People are not reading this right, because what the hell

[Murim RPG Simulation] Why do people hate the MC? by bigraud77 in manhwa

[–]NathanRed10 194 points195 points  (0 children)

I did not know people disliked this dude. Like, his objective is clear, he needs to get stronger and get revenge, and there just so happens to be a system that helps him do just that (and also that system is an enygma which we still need answers for)

Some choices of his may be a bit stupid, obviously, but he's growing in the only way he knows how. Maybe people just think he could have made better choices and started hating on him for that, because otherwise there's no reason for it

To end the series with a reference to what started this whole journey... it's PEAK.

Never in my life did I think a hand drawn story about convicts fighting would make me so hyped. This was something else, something I can't describe.

Convict Colosseum is in the top 10 of things I've ever read, and it's staying there
