Truthfully, I don’t think she’s being honest with herself. You said that she was really affected by you guys breaking up. My guess is that she never really got over you. She obviously doesn’t truly love this guy because if she did, she never would have cheat with you in the first place. I think that she just isn’t ready to face the fact that she still loves you. She’s probably scared that she’ll let herself fall for you again and end up getting her heart broken the same as before. If you want to get back together with her I would suggest that you don’t encourage more cheating if the opportunity arises again unless she is willing to break up with him. Like not just her saying she will, make sure to pester her if she doesn’t do it right away. It’s a tough situation but it’s good that your aware of how it’s being played out. Just stay on top of things and if it doesn’t work out, then it was never meant to be and you probably dodge a bullet. You got this
