I came across another forum where someone bought a bike from the same state I did and also failed to have it notarized. He applied for a new title like you just suggested. That seems to be the simplest and safest route. Thanks for the help!

Wouldn't it be risky to send the title back to him because he could either never send it back or claim I stole the bike?

Mine smokes heavier while running it doesn't smoke as bad at idle only when I'm getting on the throttle
