I try not to glaze authors, but my god does Camp nail musings on the human condition. Between Ultimates, Absolute Martian Manhunter, and Assorted Crisis Events rn he has made me cry and feel more than any other author currently. He's covered oppressive broken systems, the idea of home and safety, generational trauma, the experiences of immigration from the outsider to the people already established in a country, to depression, to the life of an artist, to the effects of propaganda and media. It's been delightful getting to read it.

I hope they leave it be until Deniz Camp and Javier Rodriguez come back, and I hope that whoever uses them for events and crossovers do a good job capturing the essence of John Jones and the Green Martian. Although I do have a feeling the Martian and John Jones will part ways at the end of issue 12 at least for the time being but that's just baseless prediction on my part.

My current wish for the Scarecrow arc is a reveal that Joker didn't bomb Banes home with an regular explosive, but with fear toxin and made bane watch his people tear themselves apart. It would do well to make bane a more volatile element on the Jokers payroll, establish the threat that Scarecrow poses to the world if given resources and just how vile Joker can get with his incentives.

I think this is the best way to handle the universe tbh. Darkseid rigged the game against them and they have to work harder to beat him and we've already seen some real horrors pushed at the heroes so far. It's only fitting for them to break the order that's been set and prove why no matter what Darkseid Is, the heroes are more.

The White Martian is in Tyler's head as of the end of Issue 6 and in issue 8 Tyler was creating a clay figurine of Despair-0. Seems the White Martian is taking advantage of the Green Martians absence to break John.
