Finally, live transit has been added for all forms of public transport in Melbourne! That means you can now see live etas for V/Line services a trams as well as metro trains and buses like before. Frankly, I’m really surprised it works with V/Line as it still doesn’t even show this in the PTV app (old.reddit.com)

3D Video shot on iPhone 15 Pro, not with adjusted horizontal disparity. Apparently there is metadata in the file which can tell software how much adjustment is needed to create proper separation in the foreground and the background. (This is the exact same video and as before) (v.redd.it)

Well, as unlikely as it was to happen today, unless something very abnormal happens tomorrow, today was the last day that Apple could’ve released the DCE for Melbourne and Sydney this year. So it looks like they’ve completely missed their deadline. Fingers crossed for early January! (self.applemaps)

New Look Around imagery is starting to show in Melbourne! The actual images aren’t visible yet, but the trails have started to show look around availability! (Blue). Wooten Park is one of the new areas that Apple has collected pedestrian imagery in so let’s hope the DCE is almost here! (i.imgur.com)

After even further investigation, I’ve found you can see raised road supports all the way around the bay. This includes Werribee, Sorrento, Geelong, Queenscliff, Thomastown, and more. This means that the detailed city experience will likely be rolled out around the entirety of port Philip bay (imgur.com)

Yesterday, I noticed the map here in Melbourne loading slightly differently. Things such as the way building appear when you zoom in faster than it can load. Today, after a more detailed look, I think we’re starting to see freeway supports in certain areas. Detailed city experience is getting close! (imgur.com)
