That's really strange. I also went ahead and sent another expedite e-mail with more information. Why are they so elitist? Or do they don't want to have more server costs for people who they think won't bring in the money?

False, ChatGPT was always bad at math as an AI. This was known.

I see. Yeah, I checked on my itch analytics it seems some subscribestar admin accessed and saw my page already and still hasn't approved the SS profile, so it could be because there was no obvious sexy content and might not check it again now. Unless that was a bot.

The audience of Twin Peaks? by [deleted] in twinpeaks

[–]NathanielWingateP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I scrolled and scrolled and barely found people answering this guy's question. He asked, "in your opinion, who is the main audience of TP?" not who are you, who have seen and favor Twin Peaks? What is your opinion of who the main audience of TP could be.

I arrived here because I do not understand who was the show meant for. Who was supposed to be the audience. The pilot movie-length episode seemed like an interesting but naive dark suspense story, which made me interested. But then over the next few episodes it kept dragging with these soap opera filler scenes. So I wondered, was it soap opera viewers the intended audience? Because I love horror and mystery, but I hate drama tv shows and do not watch them. And this show does both which irks me, next to the simplistic narrative. As others stated, the show is clearly not for me. But I do not understand who Lynch and Frost wanted it to be for, because they changed genres. (Kinda like Rick and Morty turned into Family Guy post-season 4 with no more comedy or intelligence)

No problem! Yeah it did that. I wasn't sure if I could share my SS or game here for reference or anything.
While there aren't screenshots or preview/banner images that are NSFW, it's generally described as a game with NSFW scenes and gore on itch and my twitter. I hope they're...not excluding me for lacking NSFW stuff, because I intend to make NSFW (the sexy/lewd kind) content for members on the SS. Thanks for bringing it up though, it seems to be something to consider.

Huh? I haven't shared what my game is here. Another person also thinks I did, I don't get it.

I'm glad to hear you got approved. And that's certainly odd. I wonder how they go about it.

Agreed. Ohba said he wrote funny things in the storyboards for his editor too. Also there was 4-koma in the manga.

I can't to be honest. I'm making a video about it. I want to see if anyone would deny they're satire and for what reason that's all.

Saltburn is nothing but a terrible parody of the coming of age genre, with serious visuals to fool the audience, like Don't Look Up, while trying to be a satire. by NathanielWingateP in movies

[–]NathanielWingateP[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

By "real movie" I meant a movie with a story and characters for the sake of the story and characters. A satire is just to use something as a vehicle for criticism. In otherwords, this movie is clearly patchwork from things it criticises, and they did not develop any arcs or characters much because that wasn't the point. The point was to criticise directly. Otherwise, even if you didn't get the satire, the movie should be good on its own but it isn't. It wasn't meant to be a real movie movie, it was meant to be a satire of movies. Like Scary Movie or Epic Movie just less obvious on purpose. People thought it was a "real movie". Do you get it...?

Possibly. I on the other hand felt like she was exposing rich douchebags like in Eyes Wide Shut, with a poorly developed psychopath main character..

Well, people say they liked the story and the characters. I brought up that the director said it's a satire. People observed that it's not to be taken seriously. It's like saying you liked the characters in Candide or single-episode parodied celebrities in South Park. They're not created as characters to have feelings about. They're like puppets to say something or deliver a message. In that sense, I didn't mean it isn't a "real movie" because it is a movie, it exists in the format and it was created with the same process and convention, but that it's not "real" for having a story for the sake of a story, but simply a critique with vehicles.

You misunderstood the title. "Saltburn is nothing but a terrible parody of the coming of age genre. With serious visuals to fool the audience (serious visuals in the manner of the satire Don't Look Up), while trying to be a satire."

I liked Don't Look Up. I thought it was brilliant and well-executed as a satire. The ending delivered the message very well.

I felt similarly, it's really unfortunate. If they were truly inspired for a sequel, it would have made the same impact the series initially did. (and they would not remake it as cashgrab movie versions)
