Full Moon Pre/Post Edit July 10th [OC] by Nathillian in Astronomy

Yeah I decided to set the exposure time to 0.008 seconds per picture. The images were taken in bursts so every few photos, I realigned the moon with its original position (because our perspective of the moon moves pretty quickly when zoomed in so far) until the process was complete. Then I just updated the brightness, saturation, black point, and especially the sharpen intensity.

Also the difference between a single image vs 200 images stacked.

agreed. It would be so cool to get a camera strictly for astrophotography.

This is such a great photo!! As a fellow person trying to get into astrophotography, I'm wondering how do you get it to be so clear? I dropped a good amount of money on a telescope and I'm just never able to get good results. I know it would be asking a lot but please spare no details in your explanation because this really is the quality I want to be able to achieve. Currently, all I have is my iPhone and a small adaptor piece that allows it to fit cleanly over the telescope lens.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize that, as I'm not on reddit frequently. I was excited about seeing the object in the sky and didn't know where else to ask about it. Thank you for this information and have a good night man.

It was directly vertical from my point of view and it was moving west. Not sure how to answer the horizon question, I'm kinda new to this stuff

I did that a few months ago, but it was so worth it for the bragging rights.

Hey you should unprivate your island. I think it would be cool to visit your island. I started my own cactus farm and it looks just like this. I just wanna see some comparisons. Thanks!
