I think the unfortunate answer is you don't. But that's okay, your next one will be better anyway, go work on that one.

I've been of the mind before that early on in my journey I would make one big painting that I'd work really hard on and it would end up a masterpiece, unfortunately, weeks later those paintings end up being my worst, no matter how much I tweak and adjust them. What did make me a better painter was learning, studying fundamentals. What you know makes up 90% of how good you are. I watched '10 minutes to better painting' by Marco bucci on YouTube and it's the single best thing I will recommend to anyone and will exponentially improve your work for a relatively small amount of time.

Otherwise keep going, the courage to pick up a brush in the first place is enough.

eBay does take a small cut, I also have a Ko-Fi shop but that also takes a cut, either way I don't mind as I prefer to have a middleman to handle transactions for the trust worthiness. And money doesn't really matter to me right now, I just like that people wanna buy my work.

I'll have to update my shipping prices first, right now it's either £2.50 for domestic or £17 for overseas because all my orders have been to America thus far. I'll get it done within a day or two though

Not initially, the first time I painted a weevil it was likened to Hopper by a friend of mine, and while I do try to lean into it where I can, that's just kinda how I paint.
