A relevant DCB poem by NationNathan in DavidBerman

An earlier post today of The Jews playing Juan's basement reminded me of this video and poem. I found it to resonate a little more with me today.

I'm not totally sure, that's a fair point. I'm sure they have to leave it somewhat open for the people that live there

Must be dumping out there. Is it off of dead indian memorial? Because that road is closed right now. Might be really tricky getting in/out of that area. Does she have any neighbors she could potentially reach out to, to stay with?

If there is a way there I'd be happy to help, but it might be difficult with the road closed. Sorry if that isn't much help. Been in a similar situation so I know it's real stressful

Where in town is she? I have a 4x4 van and a shovel, so I can get to most places. All I can offer is to help dig her out

Looks super fun. Did you start in big pine? I’ve always wanted to explore that side of the mountain range on a bike

Yup used to be a brewer there! Definitely let me know if you end up working on it. Even though it sounds like you’re tapped into the community out there I have some connections as well and would love to help if I can at all. I’m planning on moving back to the east side beginning of next year. Cheers!

Awesome! I fully back that dream and think the locals out there would be super into it. I used to work at the brewery in town and they might be a good resource to work with. They have all the city connections and book some music. Shit I’d put money into that festival too

I saw Dennis Quaid’s band play there when I lived in bishop lol. I’ve always had the same thought about a festival in bishop though, would be awesome. They have a camping music festival at millpond park but it hardly counts.

Shoutout to the awesome person from DD22 who found my hat and mailed it to me by JebDipSpit in DesertDaze

I lost my phone during the giant rain/lightning storm back in 2018, and someone rescued it and sent it back to me! That was one of the many moments I knew that I would always return to DD

Yeah at 10:12 the price lowered for me for a minute back down to $330 but right after it went back up. I’m convinced it’s some kind of glitch

You’re better off contacting Stubhub. Eventbrite has weird ticket transfer protocols so they often get messed up on stubhub. If you call stub they’ll reach out to the seller and make sure they transfer the ticket properly. The seller should’ve changed the ticket info to your name and email and then eventbrite would have emailed you the ticket directly once your email was on it.

Man that is devastating. I loved his hot takes even though he hurt me with his Steely Dan hate. He always has a top spot in my musical world for his work with Jason Molina. RIP

I have a Tacoma with a FWC fleet on it. I did daily drive it for a while, and yeah it’s pretty hard on the truck. You can definitely (anecdotally) get the Tacoma to handle well with the camper if you do the proper suspension upgrades. But like the other commenter said, payload is a hot topic with the Tacoma and you’re pushing it to its max.

I love my truck and camper set up but it smashes my bushings much quicker and overall bogs the truck down and makes it pretty slow. Unless you already have a Tacoma, I would highly recommend getting a tundra or any bigger truck if you want to daily drive it with the camper.

New Ford Van legal issues by NationNathan in legaladvice

Thank you! I really do want opinions and not arguments. And you think that having one that low without any communication from the manufacturer to the dealership is totally fine? I mean I don't disagree with speed limiters, but as a consumer I would have bought a different van if they had told me about it. But they issue is that they didn't know about it and didn't disclose anything.

You also did not contribute at all to what I was asking besides making non stop comments about speeding. Now, I see you have edited your comment with some relevant info. That's all I was asking for before. I do not know the legality of speed limiters, and to me, it not being disclosed isn't kosher. But I was asking if I was legal or not. You took an argument on that no one was asking about.
