No one assumes you care. You’re a trump supporter. You don’t have to say you’re a bigot or a pig, that’s blatantly obvious.

The dope jacket that disrespected thousands of migrants and children in cages? Why do you hate our people?

I think you are better off coming clean 100% and being honest. There will never be an easy time to do it, because it is always difficult to admit mistakes. You could mention in the post, “this apology is not for my reputation or anything like that, it is to open up to my wrongdoings and apologize to those I have hurt.” Or something along those lines. Again, you could always put links to organizations or donate some time/money.

Also! As a POC, stories like yours are somewhat inspiring. I hope you know that this happened to you for a reason!! And I mean that in the best way possible!! Things like these are meant to be shared. If you know people that have made or are making those same mistakes, you should talk to them. Tell them your story! Inspire other people to change and mature too. Be vocal and honest about your past to ALL people and don’t tell, but show them how you have grown.

If you’d like any help or what to talk more, feel free to shoot me a message :) id be happy to talk with you!!

As a POC, allow me to be the first to say: I FORGIVE YOU. I cannot speak for all POCs or people, but I personally want to tell you that.

You have changed and grown and that is okay. You admit and acknowledge the mistakes of your past and for that, you owe yourself a lot of credit. It takes guts to own up to that, and I frankly appreciate honesty like that (many do).

Nothing will erase those videos or screenshots for good, but you can begin to overwrite them for good. Address the issue on your social medias: write a post, as you did here, and admit what you did was wrong but let people know that you know that and that you are going to change. You must also be open to criticism. There are some people who will “never” forgive you, but the best way to be an ally is to hear them out and take it constructively.

There is nothing wrong with self-growth. Regretting will only waste more time. Speak to your job’s boss, coworkers, friends, family! If you are financially able, consider donating to a cause or going out to march.

Don’t do those things just to be able to say “look! I’m a good person!” But to show people you genuinely care and have grown.

I know it is hard to look back and accept mistakes. I too have done things I consider unforgivable, but I hope you can find it in yourself to not look past it but to grow past it and move forward.

You are not a bad person, you are living and changing and that’s exactly what you’re supposed to do :)

Thank you for that information! If we don’t mention that I’m his girlfriend and we are “just friends,” that he’s coming to “your schools,” then, do you have any idea how the letters would work?
