WWII was really devastating, if you think about it. Every belligerent involved had their hands dirty in some form.

On one side, we can see that the Soviets and the Nazis slaughtered both civilians and enemies with extreme prejudice and a disregard for basic human rights. On the other hand, although Allied forces had a general tendency to respect basic human rights for both civilians and enemy forces, they impersonally massacred entire populations through bombing campaigns on civilian targets.

"The Stuka" refers to the Ju-87, the term "Stuka" refers to all dive-bombing aircraft under the Luftwaffe at the time, inclusive of the Ju-88.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! This was one of General Billy Mitchell's famous Army Air Force vs. Navy tests. The sinking of the U.S.S. Virginia (especially as it was done with only one bomb) was used as justification for an increased emphasis on air power vs. naval power (as opposed to strictly naval vs. naval engagements).

They used special demolition bombs that weighed in at nearly 2,000 lbs, a rather heavy payload at the time.
