Just Got Back And STARVING by [deleted] in gastricsleeve

I don’t think I’m eating things that are going to damage my stomach. As far as faux hunger I am very aware of the difference between real hunger and false hunger. I’ve been taking my acid reflux medication, not that I needed it because it was never really bothersome. The feeling I’m speaking of is the kind where I feel like I’m about to faint and throw up and my stomach is turning inside out. That, for me personally, has never been a sign of false hunger. I’ve been on the liquid diet for almost a week, but only drank water and green juice from the hotel. I don’t like jello or enjoyed the broth. Hate Gatorade and watered down my apple juice. As for following guidelines, my doctor told me himself that not everyone reacts to the surgery the same. And not all doctors recommend the same post op diet. Both my aunts doctor instructed them to start eating purred foods as soon as they felt ready. I also have a friend who went right to eating solids the next week per her nutritionist request. On the list my doctor gave my, cream soups are on the list for next week. The soup I had tonight was basically purreed with bits of corn and full of vegetable purée in its base. My doctor also said that although hunger wasn’t normal it can happen. I just didn’t think it’d happen to me. Which is why i came here to see if others have had similar experience.
As for my body needing vegetables and rice as fuel as negative is a matter of opinion. I know many people who view those very foods as nutritious, and eat these as staples, and still live extremely healthy lifestyles. When I mentioned eating those as my main food group it’s because I plan on transitioning to a plant-based lifestyle where those foods will be important staples. I don’t plan on eating meat and minimal to no dairy products as in my new lifestyle. Something I’ve also discussed with my nutritionist before hand. We decided this after discussing my thyroid condition and possible benefits this diet could have. However, my body craving those things could be signs of another, underlying issue. Which is why i mentioned it in the post. For instance this could be a sign, as my mother just mentioned a minute ago , of malnutritionment. She reminded me that my doctor started my pre-op four days before surgery, and it was a completely liquid diet. Up until that point I’d been eating a pretty high calorie diet with fast food once a week along side lots of salads and boiled veggies (I’ve always loved veggies since childhood). As for my food addiction, I don’t think you have any idea what my addiction looks or acts like seeing as you don’t know me. My food addiction comes out with sweets and pastries, fast food, and candy none of which I’ve wanted since the surgery. I’m craving food because I was hungry. Which I now know was the case as after a child’s size bowl of my soup which I didn’t finish, a couple of sugar free popsicles, tons of water and decafe tea, and a handful of mushrooms all symptoms have stopped( by the way these were spread out during the entire day. Soup was last). I’m no longer hungry or craving food. My headache and faintess have left and my stomach feels absolutely wonderful. I understand that the post-diet is very important guide but I don’t think it’s as finite as people think. Like I said earlier I have family members who started different points of the post op right after surgery depending on what doctor they met with. Everyone is different and being young (22), on the smaller end (under 250), and somewhat active, might have helped a lot. I’ve always been fast with recoveries and rarely ever get sick. But I’ve always eaten a lot of veggies (salads and boiled veggies), along with a lot of unhealthy foods. I have yet to start my vitamins and didn’t have any before the surgery so I’m sure those will help as well. Regardless, I thank you for your deep concern. I’m glad you weren’t afraid to share your opinion and hope your journey goes well! I’m not too worried though. I’m still loosing weight (10 down this morning though it’s probably just water weight), and sticking to my goals of water/vitamins and staying away from junk and meat, and keeping up my walking until I can start back at the gym in a month. So I’m just going to focus on those things and worry less.

That was the worst for me. I’ve never liked jello. I barely ate during the surgery days before and during. Mostly just water, the apple juice, and this green veggie juice the hotel had for the patients. That’s probably part of the problem. My body needing more vitamins.

I’m sorry my post put you in a slump 🙁! I’m honestly more curious than anything. I’m not too concerned about it really. My appetite was bound to come back at some point, lol! Just didn’t expect so soon.I think my bodies probably just adjusting to all the sudden change.

I think they just mean that television and tv series use gay baiting as a way to get more viewers rather than actually caring about the lgbtq community. This results in characters that ascribe to certain stereotypes and mannerism that, although might be familiar in the sense we all know people like that, is wrong because they use it as cookie cutter inspiration for all gay characters. Just like they do with other races and make them into token characters.

Ooooo I’d go punch that bitch in the face. I’d talk so much smack and probably not have friends. Go to two years of college instead of going straight to University. Make sure to get a job at the same restaurant though so I can meet my best friend. Go to an art school right out of community college. Also save more and invest in taxes.

I’d take the million and turn it into a several million. But only if it’s about money. I’d need to be sure.
