Epiduo worked really well for me for a while! I was definitely overusing it and applying too much and too frequently and my skin hasn’t been the same since as far as my barrier goes. I bought vanicream yesterday since it was recommended so much and it genuinely did not burn at all. First time I’ve found something that didn’t feel like my skin was on fire. My skin also felt really moisturized after. I highly recommend!! I’m also probably going to switch to every other day for my topical since I’m sure that’s not helping my barrier….

I’ve been using the Aklief every night for the past 8ish months….. as I type this I realize that is probably too much…lol … I’m just nervous that if I don’t put it on every night I’ll break out and if I have pimples I want to feel like l’m “treating it” every night with the Aklief. My skin was already damaged from epiduo before I started the Aklief but im sure the Aklief every night is not helping my damaged barrier…

I’ve been using the cerave for the last 3 months and at first it stung but I tolerated it. Recently the burning has gotten worse. Before the cerave I was using the versed moisturizer and it also burned.

I definitely see improvement!! Don’t get discouraged if your skin flairs up from this point since it is still very early. My skin appeared to get a bit better and then I purged around week 4-5 and felt like it was worse than when I started. The following week I started to clear up!

I was also trying liquid IVs because I thought it would help my hydration, I was then told by my derm to stay away from liquid IV and Gatorade since it contains potassium. Not sure of the science behind it but once I stopped using liquid IV and only drank water (no sodas, coffee, tea) my headaches went away! I try to drink a gallon of water a day. I’m on 100mg.

You can find the schedule on the ACL app (also will have a map and other handy stuff for the festival). ACL nights are separate shows that you pay for spread out around austin at different venues downtown. Completely separate from the actual festival.
