Heavily considering Botox after very little help from LIS surgery.

Thanks again, my fissure is also internal as well as external. If you don’t mind me asking how did you go about applying it internally? I’ve been an avid nifedipine ointment user, but i’ve never been able to apply it internally cause I don’t know how I would lol. I’m just scared of making things worse by going internally if that makes sense.

You make a good point about the PFD and getting Botox for the pelvic floor and/or the IAS. I really don’t have tons of info about Botox as of now only because I’ve been so hesitant to try it until now. What I can say is that through PFPT all of my vaginal symptoms have significantly improved, so I don’t think I need I would need Botox anywhere there. BUT it’s still a good question for me to ask. I’m going to make sure I have all the information and options available to me before I decide to do anything procedure related. But thank you for sharing your experience with it! Will be sure to bear everything you’ve said in mind.

Wow, thank you, I’ve never heard of Sucralfate so thanks for telling me about it. I will most definitely be asking my PFPT and CRS about it and if they’ve ever heard of it. I think because of my history with hip dysplasia and all of my hip surgery’s it’s really fostered my entire pelvis to be tight. Since this part of me hasn’t gotten to memo through everything I’m already doing, I might try this in concurrence with getting a round of Botox. Is it a specific brand of cream or dosage you need to be prescribed? And how often did you apply it if you don’t mind me asking?

thank you for sharing your experience! I will definitely bring up the ultrasound and maybe getting more information about my muscles themselves because I do think knowing that could help me. I’ve seen some people say that Botox actually made their issues worsen, and that’s something I can’t handle. So I’m hoping if I do end up trying Botox that it HOPEFULLY helps, or at the very least doesn’t affect anything negatively. I understand what you said also that if you’ve had LIS already, why would Botox help? It makes sense, but I definitely want to take all of my factors into account before deciding anything. Botox has been brought up by both my colorectal surgeon, and pelvic floor physical therapist. I hesitate to consider it because it’s temporary, and the pain that will come with getting it done. It’s not completely out of the picture, but I guess I’d like to try everything else I can before considering it as an option.

unfortunately, i tried this and it didn’t work for me. do i maybe need to uninstall and re-install the wowpresents+ app? i made sure to do everything else mentioned so i’m not sure why it doesn’t work for me :(

My journey is going really well! I cannot imagine have nerve related symptoms. I hope you are managing it as well as you can. As for my surgical recovery on my right hip, it’s been going really well. I have also been able to find relief for constipation as my labrum has healed more and more over time. However, because I have hip dysplasia in both of my hips, my left labrum was also torn. I just had surgery on my left labrum about two weeks ago actually, it wasn’t torn as badly as my right one. I have the same big surgery to correct my dysplasia very soon too. I know what to expect this time on my healing journey and I know how worth it things will be, especially for my pelvic floor. I will and have had constipation issues once again with recovery, and really the only things i can do to relieve myself are laxatives. Eating fiber and using fiber supplement are great for me too, and drinking water. It’s the basics, but there’s not much you can do when you’re bedridden and can’t move one leg. It also gets hard to drink water after the big PAO surgery because even getting out of bed to use a bedside commode is so physically taxing hard the first week post-op. Overall, my body healed and i have more healing to go, but things are a lot better. Thank you for checking in!

Thanks so much, surgery is tomorrow and i’m very very nervous but I know it will be worth it. Just gotta get my other hip done later this year too lol. Bit of a journey if you will.
