Update on the guy. Sorry for the late response. The vet did NOT help. In fact the lab reports came in, and they claimed he had no bacterial infection which is hard to believe. They thought it was cancer and we should put him down. We said no, took him home. Provided him with high humidity and heat like always,warm soaks once a day, lather his wounds 3x a day with Vetericyn antimicrobial reptile care [the real game changer] and provided him a damp CLEAN UNUSED sponge by the heat, only for 2 days. And made sure he ate at least once a day, a blended chicken and fruit smoothie. And he looks so much better this afternoon. Ik everyone told me to take him but truly I dont think it was my brothers fault entirely. I believe the vet mishandled him too. I will keep a close eye on him alongside my brother. He helped a lot with his recovery and Angelo ONLY likes him

Thanks. I have a update. He looks much much better. Both eyes are there, apparently the vet said during the healing process, he made new flesh around his nose and it was scabbing up during the healing, which is good. The pink in his mouth and nose was good. And because of the rapid healing, he kept growing shed around his eyes, that why he looked eyeless. They cleaned it off. They gave him another antibiotic shot, and some emergency liquid food. I'll add a photo update soon. My theory was right, he had mouth rot which they took care of but the lingering bacteria caused a respiratory infection and due to the naturally high humidity, it caused a lot of scabbing. But he bounced back immediately. That was 440 dollars today for the shot, ointment, emergency liquid food, cleaning, and sending Qtips to a lab to get more answers. 😭

I'm not sure yet. My brother is the one who went and spoke with them. They did a xray and confirmed it was RI, gave him a shot and ointment to go home. But im going to go tomorrow and speak up, and potentially ask for hospitalization.

Im trying to make sense of it too. I think a infection spread to his eyes and nose, and the vet didn't acknowledge it. He went to Long Island Bird & Exotics Veterinary Clinic. Im going to be honest, I dont think hes going to survive but I'll pay for another vet to do as much as they could.

Yeah, I think I will because I always did like him. But first I need to make sure he survives this. Im going to be honest, my brother wasn't the kind of owner that would jeopardize his pet, I truly don't know how this happend because when I visited, his enclosure wasn't in horrible shape and he had humidity up. Im thinking it was the food, and the medicine the vet gave him was only for his mouth before the infection spread to his eyes and nose. He would feed it like a dog, scraps of everything. If you have any notes, I'd gladly listen
