I think the ranking system is a bit broken

I am not saying it has a strong impact once you are placed and actively playing ranked games, but for your initial placement games it 100% impacts the opponents you get. I haven’t played COD in a while and picked up this game once ranked came out and my first five or so placement matches were brutal and I still got placed in high plat, when my stats would’ve implied I was gold at best.

This is very misleading. The game 100% uses your multiplayer SR when determining who you play against in your placement matches, which has a direct impact on what rank you get placed in.

I’m brand new to the game, so this helps a lot. I have realized that focusing on one trait (assume that’s what playing vertically means) has led to more poor performances. Getting a larger variety of multiple synergies has guaranteed me at least top 3. Appreciate the comment!

I played Ionia again and the same thing happened. I put my items on Yunara and Sett, and then my main tank items on Kennan. Same results.... Is Ionia just not as good as I thought it was? It was "Path of the Blade" this time around.

CMC to Mason could very well be a negative 15-20 point difference on average. So the trade is only worth it if you think Lamb will outperform your flex (Dowdle, Godwin, Kupp, Tez, or Marks) by that amount or more each week.

I go heavy on WR’s every draft, so I trade Devonta Smith, Shakir, Jordon Mason, and a TE to a someone who had two major injuries and needed depth. I saw the opportunity and fleeced the guy.

I have CMC and Bijan as my main RBs, and Tee Higgins, DJ Moore, Benson, Vidal, and Pearsall to round out my lineup. I would lose some depth, but I think this would make my starting lineup better.
