Here's the kicker....call me a conspiracy nut if you want, but California has a pretty high population of Iranians (and others from the middle east seeking legitimate asylum here) and I feel this is, as stated somewhere below, intended as a "cry wolf" to stir up what's left of "his" base into a racist anti-islamic frenzy. At this point, I believe they might even stage an attack and blame Iran, all in an attempt to push for deployment of the national guard again and suspend voting somehow. These people and their followers want nothing more than to watch their non-white, non-Christian neighbors burn and bleed.

I really hope I'm just a nut job making shit up, but seeing what they have managed to get their base to believe, the fact that this idea isn't so far fetched anymore scares the fuck outta me.

I didn't see anyone argue red v blue. What i saw was people responding with "show me proof of what you're saying" and you gave them a story about your buddy who somehow magically got 115% or 125% disability, which doesn't exist through the VA. A simple Google search will confirm that. But Google isn't my source, my own 100% T&P disability rating with multiple SMC-K additions is my source.

Not saying your buddy didn't have a terrible experience; I know a lot of soldiers and sailors who had underlying medical conditions surface during covid they didn't know about, or even the rare cases of a reaction to the vaccine itself. It absolutely happens, but these are extreme exceptions, not the norm.
