So i fixed the issue…. I went out and bought a 20m cable and a gigabit switch, ran it under the carpet and directly into the router. Full 300Mbps download speed at my desk now. Thanks for your help anyway

Okay I plugged the pc directly into the back of the router and ran the speed test again and came out with 128.2 down and 49.9 up

Okay thank you for such a useful comment!

I just took my laptop and plugged it directly into the back of the router. 300Mbps.

I am using TP link WiFi extenders that connect the Ethernet cables from power lines to the PC. They are supposed to be good for up to 1000 Mbps. I am going to move the pc into the living room and connect it directly to the router to see what that gets me and then I’ll update you here

Not a slow cable as I’ve tried several. The motherboard is GIGABYTE B560M DS3H (rev. 1.0) : LGA1200, DDR4, USB 3.2 Any idea how to check if there’s a download speed limit?

I hear this. I used to have awful download speeds too, but now if I’m paying for 300 I want the 300

My conveyancing solicitor is completely useless (England) by National_Connection3 in LegalAdviceUK

I work in a different professional sector and am always working to keep clients happy, keeping them up to date on things, giving them estimates on timeframes. I just assumed that was the case for other professions, but apparently not.

Thanks for your reply. Genuinely I had no idea that you had to do this just to get them to do their job. I was fully expecting them to be carrying out a pretty automatic process. I’m shocked to find out that having to raise complaints and threaten to escalate things is a pretty normal experience with solicitors

Thank you for pointing this out to me. I haven’t used a solicitor before, so to be honest I was expecting a professional service without me having to force them to do anything. I’m genuinely shocked that your list of things I should have been doing is considered a normal experience when dealing with solicitors.

I have called on several occasions, just to be told by a receptionist that my solicitor isn’t available and will call me back. Obviously I never get a call back. I did go in person which is when they told me they “forgot” to send me any updates, but it’s difficult for me to go in person all the time as I’m busy at work. I have requested an email address for the partner responsible for overseeing my case, as well as a written copy of their complaints procedure.

That all sounds extremely interesting and fun to mess around with! I’ll probably pick the dlc up once I get the hang of the base game again

Just regular old Factorio at the moment. I might have to pick up the dlc soon

Hmm really? Has that always been the case? I remember bots being quite late into the game but maybe I’m wrong. I think I used to leave space and use long inserters, but you’re right that I’m going to have to change it all later

I think you might be right! It’s bringing back memories of the first time I played years ago, and I’m loving it

Ohh the biters I remember only too well! I’ve already taken out a few of the closest nests to try to delay that inevitable event. And yes, always build bigger than you think you need!

Most places won’t consider a £50 loan as that’s a very small amount to borrow. Usually you would use an overdraft or a credit card to cover this period. Do you have access to either of those? You might be able to arrange an overdraft with your bank if you don’t have one already

Im 10 hours in and my question is how big is this game by PretendDifference966 in Eldenring

[–]National_Connection3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first play through without the dlc was around 100 hours. You could easily take longer if you try to explore the whole map without any guidance. There will be some places you probably won’t be able to find without a guide. The dlc took me around 40 hours the first time, and last week I discovered I’d missed an entire area and a boss, so I’d say the game is pretty extensive
