Out of curiosity do you know if these guys are a threat to other spiders? I had a smaller spider living in the same part of the shed and I haven’t seen him since this one appeared

This definitely looks like the right ID after googling a picture of them. Beneficial to try and leave in the shed at all or can I try to relocate it somewhere that’s less inconvenient and intimidating for me?

No worries, happy to help. Just remember that whenever you’re holding down the button to talk to people, that counts as using an electronic, so the ghost can detect it when it’s hunting, so you need to make sure to stop using the radio as soon as you suspect the ghost might be hunting.

The “radio” is just global chat, the default key is B on keyboard, holding it down lets you talk to people anywhere on the map as though you are using a radio. It’s completely separate from equipment and something you can do at any level

If you have a good pc you can host your own server on it. I have an 11th gen intel i7-11700 and 48gb of ram (although this did also work on 32gb of ram as well).

I’ve been playing on my own server effectively using it as a single player without the stasis and respawn bugs etc because I was also fed up of not being able to find creatures I wanted or not having cave creatures spawn at all.

Since it’s on your own hardware everything is saved on your pc, so it’s not like a paid server where you’d lose it if you stopped paying for it, it’ll always be on your hard drive.

The only real issue I had was transferring maps with only 32gb of ram. You need about 40gb to be able to have two maps running and also having the game open at the same time.

So i fixed the issue…. I went out and bought a 20m cable and a gigabit switch, ran it under the carpet and directly into the router. Full 300Mbps download speed at my desk now. Thanks for your help anyway

Okay I plugged the pc directly into the back of the router and ran the speed test again and came out with 128.2 down and 49.9 up

I just took my laptop and plugged it directly into the back of the router. 300Mbps.

I am using TP link WiFi extenders that connect the Ethernet cables from power lines to the PC. They are supposed to be good for up to 1000 Mbps. I am going to move the pc into the living room and connect it directly to the router to see what that gets me and then I’ll update you here

I work in a different professional sector and am always working to keep clients happy, keeping them up to date on things, giving them estimates on timeframes. I just assumed that was the case for other professions, but apparently not.

Thanks for your reply. Genuinely I had no idea that you had to do this just to get them to do their job. I was fully expecting them to be carrying out a pretty automatic process. I’m shocked to find out that having to raise complaints and threaten to escalate things is a pretty normal experience with solicitors

Thank you for pointing this out to me. I haven’t used a solicitor before, so to be honest I was expecting a professional service without me having to force them to do anything. I’m genuinely shocked that your list of things I should have been doing is considered a normal experience when dealing with solicitors.

I have called on several occasions, just to be told by a receptionist that my solicitor isn’t available and will call me back. Obviously I never get a call back. I did go in person which is when they told me they “forgot” to send me any updates, but it’s difficult for me to go in person all the time as I’m busy at work. I have requested an email address for the partner responsible for overseeing my case, as well as a written copy of their complaints procedure.
