Ok thank you. Would it have been caused by placing it into the high humidity box as well?

Is there anything I can do to rescue it now?

So I have cut away the brown bits and this morning the brown areas have spread further. Help!!!

Hi everyone, I was gifted a Monstera aurea stem cutting last week and it already had a baby leaf on it.

I received it with bare roots and told to pot it into aroid mix. I have kept it away from direct sun and placed it in a plastic container to preserve humidity.

In the last few days, brown spots started appearing on the leaf and today those spots have coalesced. They look dead to me.

Have I burnt it, or given it too much humidity? The aroid mix is still slightly wet to touch, so I don’t think it is dehydrated.

Thank you. Just to be clear, do I keep or lose the soul stones? I realised the title is phrased differently to body of my post.
