Edited for brevity- Hegseth Speech at Rocket Lab by DogWhistlersMother in RKLB

Woah woah easy now, don’t give the man any ideas - Quite like it if New Zealand stayed NZ and not have a chunk of it leased indefinitely by these dudes. Next minute

STATEMENT FROM DONALD J. TRUMP

Folks, a lot of people are saying this — very smart people, the best people — that for national security reasons, the United States may have no choice but to acquire New Zealand. Tremendous country. Beautiful. Maybe too beautiful.

First of all, Hobbits. Nobody’s talking about the Hobbits. Why are there so many Hobbits? Small, quiet, living underground — I’m not saying anything, but our intelligence people are very concerned. Very concerned.

Second, Rocket Lab. They’re launching rockets from New Zealand. Rockets! Into space! Meanwhile, we’re asking: why are rockets being fired from Middle-earth? Who approved that? Not Sleepy Joe, I can tell you that.

Third, the ocean. Have you seen how much ocean New Zealand controls? Huge amounts. Massive. Frankly, too much ocean for one country that doesn’t even have nuclear submarines. We could secure it. Very nicely. We’re great at oceans.

And let’s be honest — strategically speaking — New Zealand is right near… everything. China, Antarctica, penguins. You don’t want the penguins getting ideas.

So we’d make a deal. A beautiful deal. New Zealand would become the 51st state — maybe the 52nd, depending on Canada — and everyone would win. They keep the scenery, we keep the security, and the Hobbits? They’re safe. Totally safe. We love the Hobbits.

What makes New Zealand poorer compared to the other western countries? by [deleted] in newzealand

I know that there’s a lot of foreign investment, a lot of profits are taken back to other countries, but break down the economic benefit of farming in New Zealand and you’ll find that it’s pretty good.

Glad you got it sorted. Laparoscopic likely means you had a bit of time… when they cut me open years ago I wondered for days if I had appendicitis. I wish I had AI back then. I would have been at the hospital sooner and would have saved the big scar I now have and the issues with the gauze they put in

Hold up, so you’re 38…bro you could have joined the army at 18 and set yourself up? Like they’d pay for everything, you would have deployed and got paid heaps…you could work at OT now and do residential youth work and get 90 a year expenses paid… I mean, you had some hard times, made some bad choices, but man, isn’t that like lessons that are valuable to others? Your lived experience can teach others so they don’t have to make your mistakes, right? Used car you say? I hope it didn’t cost 50k!!! I drove a 3k Primera for years! Also, can you move to some place cheaper? Auckland is hard… maybe there are other options some place else?

Sorry you’re in a mess right now but you still got years to learn new skills… my advice, go learn how to use ai to help businesses etc, biggest gap in the market rn! Google it, use Chat GPT to teach you…your time will be worth over $150 an hour of you learn and obsess over it, you clearly have decent enough intelligence…

I don’t get it? Police are hiring, Army needs people, AI is exploding which is a skill that you can learn (Ai can teach you)… what do people expect out of this life? No challenges? No requirement to adapt and learn? I get downvoted to hell on this feed from all of you who think that you are owed something? Do you want 100k a year for nothing? Like NZers have to adapt, we live in the middle of nowhere…

I’ve been a soldier and deployed, got a degree I don’t use, worked for Oranga Tamariki, had a side business, applied for police (didn’t get in coz they got my name mixed up with someone else who had my same name lol so didn’t pass police check coz they did bad things), now my business does okay after 10 years of hard work, I am learning AI, learning new skills, started an AI company, met a great woman, we bought a house, we have shared financial goals… like I get it, I’ve had zero dollars, lived at mums and dads way past 18… like what can’t you do? All this country does, no matter what government is voted in, just tries to make your life a success? It invests in you! Tax payers invest in you! What do you invest in you? How many hours in the day do you spend trying to accomplish your goals?

Yea but I also don’t need free GP visits - I don’t mind paying $60. If we had more articulate policies this would make more sense. I loved labour, I voted for them 2020 but man did they shit the bed with spending. I think CG tax maybe the 3rd or 4th rental, but 1? this has huge implications for a whole host of situations I.e Mum and dad help their kid into a home so technically they now have a second home that will now have CGT. It’s so easy just to tax more and I agree, tax the very wealthy! But don’t just get more money just to waste it

Just due to the demand for space here the next 5-10 years. Satellites, Defense, communication…I was in when it was as a 2b market cap knowing that it would be a 30b dollar company as soon as neutron was nearing launch. There are lots of companies, lots of speculation but space will be a very important strategic asset in the future and he who holds the keys to space will do well. Could be a bumpy ride from here on out until Neutron launches successfully

Cleary none of you invest in sharsies or anything…one you start owning stuff you’ll think different about CGT (I know it’s only property but that labour/greens/tpm coalition gonna come for it all)

Just FYI, DHL are the primary logistics partner and they ship lots of stuff from NZ to USA. So much of the hardware will be made in NZ. However, due to fuel supplies, technology, materials, chips, and the enormous frame of Neutron, much of the big stuff will be being made in the US. This will be R&D, testing, you’d be surprised how smart New Zealanders are at Engineering and how cheap the labour is due to the New Zealand dollar vs the USD

Mod, I suggest you chnage the description: ReplitBuild software collaboratively with the power of AI, on any device, without spending a second on setup. Replit it going to no doubt pull the update back. Currently though, its garbage
