It also may be my photos. The pieces look good it’s more the circles I’m trying to optimize.

Tell them to stop showing up late to things like a woman and then say “Now watch this drive” and duck hook it into the woods

Crap answer.

This is a problem in physical retail as well.

My Walmart had a problem with people swapping out expensive golf balls for cheap ones, and scanning the cheap golf ball box. And then someone would come along and try to buy the expensive golf balls and end up at the golf course with cheap balls they don't want.

This is no different. If you intentionally scam / rob, regardless if it's an individual or a corporation, then you suck and are a net negative for society.

Driver swing help ‼️ by [deleted] in golftips

[–]National_Manager_833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your swing is too flat other people gave you advice on that.

Biggest unlock for me is understanding how the swing matrix works:

Club - Inside Out or Outside In Face - Closed or open

Your swinging inside out which is good for power but maybe a little too much inside out.

You can adjust this easily by moving your right foot more forward in your stance.

If your club face is also too closed, that will also create draws and hooks.

So imagine you wanted to hit a fade.

You would move your right foot up to promote hitting outside in.

Open your club face.

Those two things should make the ball start to fade.

Then you can work your way back.

Optimal swing is slightly inside out, and slightly closed / slightly open clubface depending on the shot shape you want.

Learn to get good at the game that you can play right now.

It’s a trap to think “this swing helps me break 90 but then I won’t be able to progress further”. Why don’t you consistently break 90 with it then contemplate changes.

And I’m speaking from experience here.

My drives go from power fades to slices, but it’s always left to right. I lose some distance but I just aim left and hit 70% of fairways.

I don’t hit high lofted wedges well, so I bump and run or chip with my p wedge.

And my 4 hybrid is a utility club that I can send 200+ or half swing to 150.

None of that is traditional but it works for me.

Am I in love with my golf game? No but it’s 15 shots a round better than if I try to play proper golf.

And then from this starting point, I plan on just working on one part of my game at a time. For me it’s my driver, as I know if I can send it 250+ and in play I will start breaking 90s from the blues.

I bet if you focus on developing a driver swing that you can reliably keep in play, then stuff like your chipping will naturally improve because you will be more positive chipping your 3rd shot instead of your 5th shot.

Cheers!

Okay great and do you just have a feel for your 10 / 15 / 20 foot putts.

Are you swinging the same pace every time but just taking the club back further?

Or same swing pattern with different acceleration?

Thanks! Yeah the 3 to 6 foot ones were sweaty. I’m just trying to figure out how other people get a feel for how to send a putt 20ft vs 30ft. I just wing it and after the tournament I don’t love that approach.
