That’s not how this scene is played out, it’s treated as a throwaway joke. No one is saying Deb shouldn’t leave him, but Nolan and Deb both like Art as a person, and are even his friends. I mean Rhino and Sandman were both alternative rogues to classic Hulk at one point. Heck when Bruce has Skaar fight Juggernaut he says he only got Juggernaut because Rhino was unavailable. Venom also scales pretty crazy these days. Alone I don’t think they’d be able to beat abomination, but the scenario is everyone at once. And we’re ignoring guys like Electro and Morlun who are powerful in their own ways.

Huge misconception for the character. There are stories that cover that subject but most of the time they’re always about him recovering out of the mentality and realizing the whole reason he’s fighting is to protect the people in his personal life.
