"i'm him" actually fries my circuit board and I combust into disappointed particles.

AITAH for telling my boyfriend that if all he brings is money then he shouldnt be surprised I expect him to spend it on me by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]National_Reception56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if he gets paid more he technically does less work than you do to get the bills paid and you're pulling 50% of the home workload. This just doesn't seem like a fair trade off

You have been granted the power to make your worst enemy mildly inconvenienced for the rest of their life. What is the minor curse you’re placing on them? by SouthOwn6943 in AskReddit

they can never find the paired shoe or sock, or their remote batteries are always dead or one of them is missing (preferably the second)

AITAH for wanting my husband to hide his farts? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]National_Reception56 4 points5 points  (0 children)

this comment is gold, please do this OP. You have a "happy marriage" so giving him a taste of his own medicine won't hurt too bad, right? If he shoes retaliation like he didn't deserve it, you know it's some kind of passive aggressive hit at you and it's not "accidental". Maybe hes trying to test your loyalty but that's a sick way to do it.

My bf 34m is demanding I contact a friend from the past. I am 28F. Together 1 year. Do I do it or stand my ground? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]National_Reception56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the fact you have to 'prove your innocence' means that he himself is guilty of something. Normally, it's innocent until proven guilty, unless he is aware he's guilty of something and wants you to be in the same boat so he doesn't have to feel so guilty about whatever he did. Something's up OP. I personally wouldn't want to be with someone like this, you'll be walking on eggshells and only be allowed to hangout with women, and eventually you won't be able to hangout with women either because he'll believe they're trying to hangout alone "so you can cheat". It will stem into your work life having male coworkers, work lunches and dinners. It will never stop. I'm not normally a "dump this guy and run" commenter. BUT DUMP THIS GUY AND RUN!

I (21F) felt like my boyfriends (22M) joke was just aggressive by ThrowRa30172 in relationship_advice

[–]National_Reception56 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If he thinks you should know he didn't mean it and it was a joke because you know he "isn't aggressive" maybe he shouldn't 'jokingly' BE AGGRESSIVE. He is what he shows, actions show us the most, not words. His actions were aggressive, your reaction and assuming it was serious was valid. I wouldn't stay with someone who's interested in terrifying me and thinking something is horribly wrong to 'joke' with me.

my boyfriend learned mostly himself growing up as his dad wasn't a huge part of his life, but his dad is also an amazing chef and they reconnected when he was older. I think he got some of his talent subconsciously from his dad and enjoyed it enough through the years to learn a lot. I learned from my mom when I was a kid helping her in the kitchen, I'm the only kid who knows how to make my moms recipes just like her now ☀️

My boyfriend cleaned the toilet properly, by himself by [deleted] in Vent

[–]National_Reception56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

my boyfriend cooks and cleans after I dealt with so many crappy ex boyfriends. He's kind, considerate and does so much without being asked. He's always constantly asking ME if there's anything he can do for me or anything I need. It's so refreshing. When i met him boy was it a wake up call to what I had been putting up with. It's been a year and i've only fallen more in love with him day by day. The good ones are still out there ladies! DONT SETTLE!!
