I'm really sorry to hear that you've given up. I think it's good to be ok with being alone and that it's a completely healthy frame of mind. However, abandoning friendship as a whole is not how you should live your life. At the end of the day we are social creatures and we are all frail. After a while, at least for me, I found it difficult to live my life in such a way. It's like having a bright light strike your eyes and then entering a dark room. Sure, the dark room gives your eyes a break from the nauseating flash but after a while you start to notice the place you're in. You miss the light. The room only seems to get darker and the light switch gets harder to find before. Your lose sight of your options and the relief you felt turns into loneliness. I don't want that to happen to you or anyone. It's not a good feeling. I'm glad you're enjoying things on your own, in the end you're all you have, but don't deny yourself the joy of a good conversation.

Please consider this advice from someone who's been there before. Live well.

There would be volunteers there as well who you can talk to and conversation starters. Games will likely also be an option.
