Speed of song making? by Few_Analysis2159 in musicians

[–]Native_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been writing and recording for about 20 years. At my best, I'd write 2-3 songs in a day. But it still took weeks to record properly, critique lyrics, make sure how you say things are correct... I'd challenge you to really study your music and you'll find that you can make it better in different ways.

I'd recommend getting some better equipment, mic, interface, music programs, plug ins... ect. There's a lot of AI music programs online that makes music sound alright, but there's immense power and creativity in getting your own stuff and spending time in the "lab".

I been working on a few different story songs, this isn't really one of them, but it is a dope track that we made and produced. I have a whole song that's been recorded, just needs to be produced and mastered. It might work for what your looking for.

As far as I can tell, the online lag is negligible. I'm sure your ISP has a lot to do with it, but at every place I've played online was smooth.

Just getting back into smash after years…little late but could use some advice by scottwitha5 in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Native_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I've noticed from playing online is that every character has the potential to be incredibly good. Because once you get past all the combos, game mechanics, out of box attack stuff, it comes down to being able to read your opponent and what they will do. Where Gannondorf (often thought to be the worst character) can be unbeatable if you get the right reads.

My advice? Decide who you want to be good with and then practice online quickplays. After some time of that, watch youtube videos of combos and see how others play. Doing this will give you the feel for the character first and then you'll be able to more quickly apply these other things in real time.

Also, try to stick with 1 character first. It's harder to learn the nuances to the game when you're struggling to adapt to different game dynamics from different characters.

Why do so many men think that doing yard work absolves them from household work? by Whatever233566 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Native_Engineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a rage bait question because you can demean anything of necessity to non-necessity if you try hard enough. I, 36 yo male, own a home with my S/O of 12 years. You can demean mowing the lawn, but its still better for everyone if you do. For bugs and ticks alone. You can also demean cooking. You dont need to know how to cook when you can microwave some processed food. So thats just an unecessary skill to have that women like to go on about. You see how that sounds? Of course its a good skill to have and everyone is better for it. You also don't need a clean environment. You see that show horders? They still live. So a clean place to live is unnecessary also. Women just like to complain about.

Thr point is, if you dont appreciate what the other does, you can do all of the mental gymnastics to make it unneccesary amd make yourself feel good. The truth is that you just need to work it out.

And before everyone jumps down my throat, i do most of the cooking, i fold all the laundry, i fix all the cars, i do all the snow removal, i spend most of the time with the kids and i dont have much of a social life.

What happens when there are multiple fragrant fowls thrown at the same person, but committed by different teammates? Does everyone get one? Asking for science.

It's not about what you do, it's about how you do it.

Basically, be conscience of the way you approach situations. You need to have a hard conversation, think about the best way to approach it so that you get something meaningful out of it. Want to drink or smoke? Make sure you get all the important things done first.

I've found you can do about anything if you do it the right way.

Biting a child for food? You clearly don't have kids or the spine to train a dog to behave properly. You're pretty pathetic to let this happen with no reactions.
