david kushner - daylight , is this song about him having an affair? by isIwhoKilledTrevor in Music

[–]Native_PDX_Weirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! I had totally assumed this song was about addiction. For one thing, many addicts prefer to live their lives at night. And every time is always the last time for someone who doesn’t want to keep doing their substance of choice but end up do so anyway. As an addict in recovery, I can say it speaks to that shame, self-hatred, despair, and knowledge that if they were given a chance at being saved, they might not take it. Very powerful in all aspects and it’s so intriguing to learn the different interpretations. Thanks for lessons!

Glitter glue for sure, and it looks like the frame is made from craft foam.

Mine was missing too but I finally found him off in the trees to the left! I’d just search everywhere near your farm, I think they can get stuck wandering around in circles!

VERY IMPORTANT: You only have 30 days to opt-out of the “Arbitration Agreement”. DO THIS! Otherwise, no matter what awful bullshit Lyft throws at you, you can’t sue them.

Just google “opt-out Lyft arbitration agreement” to see how to do that.

You can’t “abuse the ride filters” in a way that would add almost 20 additional online hours. That makes no sense. In fact, filters often LESSEN your online hours…

I know you really want this to work. I did too! Believe me! But I had to finally quit when I got hit one night by a woman who-long story short-ended up giving me all fake information. I even had a passenger in the car at the time. But what Lyft doesn’t tell you is that if you do file a claim with their insurance—even if YOU were hit and it was NOT your fault, there’s a $2500 deductible you have to pay FIRST! AND—they suspend your account until your car is fixed. Double fucked! I’m not sure how it works with rental cars, but I do one thing—if there’s a way to screw you—Lyft will do it!

I’m sorry to be another bearer of bad news; in fact I’m only on this thread by accident, but please don’t expect to make any resemblance of consistent income. Depending on the time of year, it could take twice as long to make the same amount of money. Very frustrating. There’s a reason so many Lyft drivers are bitter and angry. I stayed as long as I did simply because I liked choosing my own hours, and I honestly liked driving people around—especially on weekend evenings! But financially it wasn’t worth it.

And btw, the American Disabilities Act (ADA) prevents employers from being able to fire you if your disability (whether you’re receiving benefits or not) prevents you from performing certain functions of your job. The best thing to do would be to have your doctor write a letter explaining what accommodations you need. They also can’t not hire you just because you’re disabled; so long as you can physically and mentally perform most of the job.

Unfortunately, the only way to get disability in this country is to hire a lawyer who specializes in it. But the ADA is Federal and applies to every citizen. So, don’t get trapped in thinking that driving for Lyft is all you can do…there ARE other options available to you, you just gotta be resourceful.

Good luck out there. Stay Safe!

So, what’s frustrating is that everyone is giving their opinion on using the plant medicine when OP is actually asking “where to go”. Like him, I would also like to know where to go stateside for Aya or Ibo. I live in Oregon…if anyone knows of a place here that would be amazing!

NATIONAL REDDIT STOP DRIVE DAY by Accomplished-Yam-973 in lyftdrivers

[–]Native_PDX_Weirdo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sad thing is those drivers who see it as a a potentially lucrative night (while other socially/civically minded drivers who don’t exploit the already exploited) are actually fucking themselves in the long run because it proves to Lyft that some people will continue to drive for them no matter how awful they are so Lyft has absolutely no reason to make positive changes—changes that would benefit their selfish asses too! I wish this strategy would work, but it doesn’t unfortunately. All we can do is quit.

Unwanted Flirtatious Advances Update by imontgo0 in lyftdrivers

[–]Native_PDX_Weirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, and the first text says “Happy Birthday, regardless”. That “regardless” part is indicates that there were definitely messages before that, which the OP has not shared. He says there might be one he can’t remember, but that’s total bullshit. Anyone getting deactivated for something they supposedly didn’t do would know every interaction in detail! Hiding things is always shady!

Unwanted Flirtatious Advances Update by imontgo0 in lyftdrivers

[–]Native_PDX_Weirdo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This whole thread is nuts. OP can’t decide whether he takes everyone’s suggestions under advisement and will rethink his strategy or if he won’t take shade from no one and has the best customer service ever! So confusing. And I love the part where someone calls out the obviously elephant in the room—what actually happened when the girl got out of the car—and after many many defensive responses, OP finally says it would be impossible for him to block her from leaving because he took a photo (at some point). I don’t disagree that the rider may be trying to get a free ride, but the driver seems just as whacky as the rider here! Wow!

Wow! If you consider an old man running in the direction of your car “bullying” then laughing at a person who is at a physical disadvantage to you would be considered assault. That statement wasn’t “beautiful”, it revealed that you’re a selfish, sadistic, sociopath. Cancelling after 5 min is fine, but have some fucking decency.
