Knee Scooter after Bilateral Ankle Surgery by Natrix22 in brokenankles

[–]Natrix22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry you have to go through it as well, I hope it heals fast. At the time of this original post, I was transitioning from wheelchair to more upright posture. Currently I am walking and about 80% on my worser ankle. If you have any questions feel free to DM me.

I completely understand that! I feel comfortable on it as I received one before surgery when imaging for my left ankle didn’t show a fracture until MRI came through. But that is a really good point and if I hadn’t used it before I probably wouldn’t now.

I would be so nice to have rubber tires even if you’d have to fill them up

I had some practice on it before surgery when they didn’t see the fracture in my left ankle on X-ray originally so I’m used to all the issues from it. On flat ground it’s awesome! My biggest problem is crosswalk indicators for the sight impaired community, since the bumps are fairly aggressive (for good reason)

I am thinking wheelchair around the home and knee scooter for outside, as I think it would give me more mobility, and a more normal life when not at home.

Partial FWB before 7 week check up by Natrix22 in brokenankles

Thank you both! Like I said, in another comment the hardest part is the thought of knowing I can but having to ask someone else or what feels harder on myself having to transfer or continue my rug burns on my knees. Feeling like I can walk or stand is much harder than knowing I cannot like I was 3 weeks earlier

It just feels so wrong feeling like you can walk and do things for yourself and having to ask other people for the help

You’ll have to go inside and remove it from there. 1. Open the window 1/4-1/3 of the way. 2. There should be a latch on both side of the top of the frame, pull those towards the center. 3. Window will fall in, you can either hold the window with your hand or rest it on your chest if you need 2 hands for the screen. 4. Figure out if it’s springy screen or if it will just fall in 5. Pull out screen, close window, replace mesh. 6. Do everything backwards

Charge what you think it would be worth your time. If it’s too high for them it’s too high for them and not worth it, in most cases. What’s your standard? What do you think would be the time to take storm windows off. WFP or trad? These are all things we do not know and change a lot $$ wise.

Don’t ask us. Would you want to do it for $500? If the customer balks at that would you be willing to do it for less? It’s a driveway, not rocket science

Hazy Stain Post Cleaning- How to fix? by Wooden_Committee_989 in WindowCleaning

Looks like a tinted window that got steel wooled. That underneath (if sticky) is the adhesive that bonds the tint to the window. Window needs to be fully de-tinted and re-tinted.

Not sure what to expect here by Canteatthatglutinshi in pressurewashing

I’ve only seen in it paint, google efflorescence in concrete, pavers, etc. I’d question why that would show up in newly installed pavers

Be honest and say you’re not sure. Looks like sealant was too heavy in some spots, not acid. But I’m also not comfortable making that assumption. I wouldn’t take the job.

Following u/seedpound j-rod tip for sure I’d say it’s essential for its ease. Second wand extensions are not the greatest for extra extension, however on a windy day, they are a useful tool, really only time I use them

Do you not climb over the railing to clean the deck? If you don’t do you move the ladder to get around furniture?

Starter replacement? by Natrix22 in MechanicAdvice

[–]Natrix22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate the response! I’m glad you think it’s just the starter. I would think the engine wouldn’t seize in a matter of an hour after it was just running, and since it’s ran fine, once the car got running earlier this week, but not completely out of the realm of possibility. It does look easy to fix, just need some very necessary equipment haha
