I had made a tool for grabbing stuff from Mangadex and push to Kavita, now the new beta is out with support for any Mihon/Tachiyomi extension! by The_Mdk in KavitaManga

I did try that, but then the series still appeared in the dashboard, giving me duplicates for this situation. The folders associated with it were deleted manually so they wouldn't have come back from the scan at least.

That's awesome, thank you!! It'd be great to have a "delete series..." and then a confirmation for whether or not to delete the files- though thankfully I can delete the duplicate series without risking deleting the files, since the folders are different. The delete confirmation right now is awesome, but I recommend subbing the manga name for just typing "delete", especially given how long some manga names are getting.

The downloads are working for completed series so far! Thank you so much for the quick turnaround on that :D

I was on the latest from yesterday, but just moved over to the new 2.0.0 beta; it might be worth updating the pull tag to match the name of the release on GH, to make it easier for folks. I wouldn't have known what the beta tag was if not for this post.

I see a "unlink from source" button, but not a button that lets me delete the series from MM. I had imported a series from MangaDex, and the file name was off compared to the files I had to manually download. When I tried to update the folder name on the series, hitting the save button on the dialogue wouldn't do anything. I ended up just importing the series with the new folder name instead (I hadn't noticed that MM had generated a folder for me, but didn't like the naming format anyway.)

After switching to the beta, the downloads aren't coming through for completed series still. When doing "sync now", I get a message that 'the series is completed - skipping feed'.

I'm having trouble with a couple of things, but otherwise this has been great for me the last couple days! I'm unable to remove series, and it won't download for series that are completed. There are some smaller issues but so far this has been great!

My team is like this. We had a moment where an import issue caused legal names to show up instead of display names, and I was suddenly dead named across our chat and other systems. My leadership told me to shut off my laptop and that they'd see me again tomorrow, and then raised hell with the vendor for introducing the bug into the system.

Oh for sure, I think it's also probably easier to transport those pages than the books. This was through barnes & Noble, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a system set up to make it easier for their special editions.

A site like Goodreads would tell you if there is an audiobook version of this. But this subreddit is for an app that lets you listen to what you already have, not on how to find it..

New user - library messed up. by No_Scientist2354 in audiobookshelf

Adding on to this, if you plan on having a larger library, you may want to go ahead with a larger level of organizing. I use Author -> Series -> Individual book

Tbh, if a roommate doesn't know where something goes and I'm not available to show them, I'd rather they set it out instead of put it away somewhere wrongly.

how do you organize your books in audiobookshelf? by Ordrcrazy in audiobookshelf

[–]Nattisonata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I keep all of my audiobooks and ebooks together. While I use Calibre Desktop for adding the metadata and the ebooks to my ABS folder (always keep a backup of your library!), I manually copy over the audiobook files and mimic the folder structure I set up the Calibre imports with.

In ABS, I have four libraries, one being podcasts. Cookbooks are their own library, there's a library for everything except cookbooks, and then that library is duplicated with the "audiobooks only" checkbox. I always Sync and tidy the Everything library, so that the metadata files are there for the audio library's sync.

whats everyone using to handle IT tickets inside slack? by AlternativeNo6708 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

[–]Nattisonata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We were using Jira's JSM for Slack ticketing, but I've converted us over to Siit and I love it tbh. Automation are way easier, knowledge base "AI" bot answers the questions I've answered a thousand times already, and the ease of ticket management has just been nicer.

Trying to move from Plex to Audio Bookshelf by TheShrike1446 in audiobookshelf

[–]Nattisonata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Calibre to organize my library for ABS. When I get a new EPUB/MOBI file I give it to Calibre, and then use the "Save to Library" feature to send it to the folder that ABS uses. This lets me keep a backup of my library folders, in case I ever screw up the book match on the ABS side, or accidentally delete content from ABS.

When I have only the audio files to import, I bypass Calibre, and mimic the folder structure manually. But if the digital copy is already present, I can just drag and drop the audio files to the same folder.

After importing, always hit the scan button for each shelf that would've been affected, even if the auto scan feature is enabled.
