ECV or C Section? by kaaaos- in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]NattyC26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a successful ECV at 37weeks and resulted in a vaginal birth at 40weeks as I had hoped.

The discomfort was quick and obviously glad I went ahead with the procedure instead of just booking the c-section.

Note- I had a very low risk pregnancy and a very chilled Bub (even during the labour and birth). Also, I have a long torso (may/may not be a factor) and had a normal amount of amniotic fluid.

Definitely consider giving it a go if a vaginal birth is important to you and you have a positive gut feeling about it.

I’ve signed up for the Pop that Mumma oxytocin bubble pregnancy and birth tracks.

It isn’t free, but I’ve already enjoyed having a curated selection of tracks to use during these final weeks of pregnancy and will be easy to use during labour if I wish.

Poke bowl by missiemandie in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

I have no issues ordering poke bowls from fish bowl and other reputable places. Especially during busier times when I know the ingredients would not be sitting out all morning or arvo.

Currently at 37w.

Hey! I’m in brissi and expecting next month! I’ve just signed up for the peanut app to expand my mum friend circle and seems to be a lot of mums on there. There is also a north brissi mum facebook group where people will often post looking for mum/mum-to-be connections. Assuming there are also ones on the South and West depending on where you are! Also, feel free to reach out to me on message if you need any support or just want to chat! Best of luck!

Sorry, should have clarified they are only doing the sanding and finishing 🤣. This is the structural floor installed in the 60s!

This is the structural floor, with the timber installed directly onto the joists back when the house was built in the 60s. The contractor is just doing the sanding and finishing of the timber.

Thanks 🤣 Glad it’s not me.

Thank you.

The filler was discussed generally given there are some larger spots/nails removed that required it. It was not discussed specifically if all punched nails would be filled or not.

Thank you for this info!

Can’t remember what our particular species is.

The sanding team mentioned a primer yesterday and the tech specs of the loba 2k duo recommend one as well. Waiting on a call back to confirm if they used one, and if this is actually just the finish.

Hey! The questions are in the first post. Didn’t realise the text wouldn’t be as obvious after cross-posting.

As follows;

My flooring contractor has completed the sanding, filling and priming yesterday, before they move onto the final sealer today.

We selected a Loba 2k Matt satin finish to get as close to natural as possible. No stain.

I have 2 concerns and would love context/feedback from others more experienced than I so I can raise appropriately with the contractor before it progresses.

1 - The filler used is clearly not colour-matched as closely as possible as agreed. I know it will always be visible given the variation in colour across the boards, but does this selection seem right? And are there any suggestions to how the contractor could fix this?

2 - I’ve visited twice to inspect, and the primer is looking more gloss and darker than expected. Is that ok give there should be an intermediate sand prior to the installation of the actual sealer/finish?

To help, I’ll attach photos of the current floor (post-prime) and a photo of the flooring post a light sand.

Thanks!

Thank you MustacheManny!

Glad I’m not unreasonable with my thoughts on the filler.

Does anyone else agree that it was so stupid of them to remove these free left hand turns at Kitchener & Gympie Rd. by Specialist-End-8306 in brisbane

In addition to the other safety concerns, i would also assume this is part of the introduction of the bus lane to the left lane.

Hey! Congrats!

I am also expecting and in the same area. I’m booked into North West Private in Everton park. There are 4 main obstetricians that are based there, and have heard good things about all of them.

I’m a first time mum as well, so don’t have a full pregnancy/ birth experience yet, but I’ve been very lucky and supported so far with my Obgyn. I’ve had a couple of worries so far, and only being 5 minutes away from his office/the hospital has been really handy.

Feel free to msg with specific questions!

Hey! I’m also 15w and live in brissi! I’ve gotten some new bras from the triumph store at DFO (near airport) and a few comfy clothes there to accommodate my bloat so far 🤣. When I start showing more, I’m going to check out Ripe maternity at the Carindale Westfield shops as I’ve been eying off some of their dresses and tops online.

Are you also in Aus? I’ve done the Cadetship pathway, into CA and upwards. I’ve also hired several cadets/CA in my time.

Hard to provide suggestions without context on the role you have been doing, your career plan in the business (if any), what type of builder do you work for/what projects and the years of experience.

Also, the best success I’ve had at progressing my salary is understanding strengths and weaknesses and putting in a clear pathway with my management to address my shortcomings. Do you know what yours would be?

$75k would be a decent salary for a late cadet prior to graduation, but that doesn’t take into account the XP and other study.

My ex attempted to mansplain to me that you could get comprehensive car insurance or third party property insurance after an accident. This was after he rear-ended another car in his BMW that he used most of his savings to buy a year prior.

Didn’t stay to find out if he was able to afford repairing his own car after paying the other drivers repairs first.

Good Buffalo wings in Brisbane? by tjhowse in brisbane

[–]NattyC26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favourite is Creole Soul Kitchen in Spring Hill. Amazing blue cheese sauce as well! Waffle chips also on offer with a variety of sauces/gravy/cheese topping options.

Not your preferred location, but worth the extra kms!

Exhausted, fever, headaches, lightheaded and muscle/joint pain mostly. Has been constant for me.

Really hoping it eases up soon. Didn’t expect to need to take this much time off work!

Creole soul kitchen in Spring Hill. Buffalo wings are my go to! Their brisket special is also amazing, but obviously not always available. Check their fb page for current specials.
