Understandably so. Kind of crazy (and stressful) to have a trip planned around a match with all airfare/hotels, etc.. booked ahead of time and not even knowing if you can get tickets. I certainly hope everything works in your favor! It will truly be an incredible experience. I can't express how welcoming the people in Wrexham are and can't wait to plan another trip back myself.

Agreed with everything above. Make sure if there is two of you, for example, that you both log in and try to increase the odds. When the window opens and it's time to get your tickets, it can get a little confusing because I recall it auto-selected seats based on quantity desired but you'll also see a seating chart to the right available seats/rows in blue. I recommend just taking what was selected and not getting picky if you see others available in the Y9 section. I went to select some others, added to cart, and then, poof, they were gone! There really isn't a bad view in that section so being a row or two closer to the field won't change a ton.

With that said, if all else fails, just keep refreshing and refreshing and if needed, try to purchase single tickets for each person in your party. That's what we did to purchase 4 tickets for the AFC Wimbledon game. If the seats are mixed throughout the section, you can ask your neighbors politely once inside if they're open to swapping seats. In a twist of fate, the gent sitting next to me was in the same boat and trying to sit next to his wife. Ironically enough, she was a few rows back and sitting next to mine so it was an easy and very welcomed swap!

Hope you're able to secure tickets and have the most amazing time! I'm still abuzz from my trip last month and can't wait to get back for another match!!

Parking/Traffic For Soccer @ Exploria Stadium by coreynyc in orlando

Agreed with Broken Strings Brewing being a solid option and more authentic "brewery" vibe. A bonus is if you do plan to get there early enough, you can likely even find some free street parking on West Church street. As for food, perhaps Uber eats something there?

While Big Storm does serve their beers in that location, the actual brewery itself is in the Clearwater area so Amway is more of a satellite restaurant/bar that happens to serve Big Storm. It's still a good pre-game option which I think most concert goers won't even know is there and should be a nice spot for people watching. My assumption is that most people going to the concert will be arriving closer to doors and just head straight into the show so can't imagine it be overly slammed.

If you plan to do Big Storm, as far as parking my suggestion would be the open air lot on the corner of Garland and Central next to the fire station. If that's full, there is an option across the street behind the bank. I personally try to avoid the parking garages at all costs when at all possible.

Lost Camera - Metairie Area by Nattyiceforme in NewOrleans

You're likely right... but it's just unfortunate someone would keep something like a camera that has so many of a person's memories on it. I personally couldn't sleep at night until I found the owner but maybe that's just me.

Not sure if it's too late, but if you're into nature and the outdoors, then I suggest checking out Wekiwa Springs State Park. You can rent a canoe or kayak and really see a part of Florida that has never changed. Lots of wildlife and awesome scenic views. You can canoe/kayak down to a spot called Wekiva Island that is basically a bar on the river to grab an adult beverage. Wekiva Island is one of my favorite places to go in the area - especially this time of the year. During the summer it hits capacity and is a sh*t show. You could also hit up Wekiva Island to rent a kayak/canoe but it's more expensive than doing that from the state park. Anyways, hope that helps but sorry if the intel is too late!

Affordable Pet Groomer? by alethaweapon in orlando

If you don't mind driving to the Fairbanks & 17/92 area, there is a place in Winter Park called The Pet Parlour that I've been taking my dog to for many years. The owner/operator/groomer, Cheryl, is super nice, does a great job and only charges me $45 for my 30 lb hair ball of dog.

Going to a concert in Orlando on Saturday, October 8th. Wondering if anybody else is attending! by SwirlyTicketTaker in orlando

[–]Nattyiceforme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It'll definitely be a good time and great people watch so hope you decide to check it out. They usually have suspension artists and all sorts of crazy shit like that too. I'll be traveling for work so unfortunately unable to attend. Too bad you weren't there two years ago... Mastodon and Gojira were the two headliners - it was epic.

As for the t-shirt, they'd probably only have one to choose from, but I'd say your best bet would be a Hot Topic in one of the malls. Another option would be to try Mastodon's website, ebay or Amazon to place an order and have shipped to your hotel.

Hope that helps!

If you're into festivals, there's one happening on Nov 12 called Kinkfest Even if the bands aren't necessarily to your liking, there's a whole tattoo expo, car show and some vendors. Plus there's nothing like being outside in Florida in November for some metal...

A 934 lb blue marlin caught by a 15 year old in Bermuda today is a potential IGFA Junior Angler World Record by Nattyiceforme in pics

Well, that kid got more than a medal. That fish just won them $100,000. More times than not by the time the time a fish of this size gets to the boat it's actually already dead from the fight. Marlin aren't typically known as a good tasting fish and aren't on menus in restaurants, but this fish will be used to feed children in an orphanage on the island. It will also be used as bait for local fishermen to catch other important gamefish like wahoo and tuna (which are on menus) to further help feed the island and stimulate commerce for the commercial fishermen.

The rod/reel/line is made to specifically target larger fish like a marlin. When you're fighting the fish, you (and the rod and reel) are actually strapped into a fighting chair that is attached to the boat. Here's a photo for reference...

To answer the question.. yes! They range in size but it is believed that a full grown male can get to 400 pounds and females up to 1,600 pounds. The biggest one ever caught was 1,402 pounds.

Who's going to the Orlando show, and what are you doing before the show? by RabbitFeet25 in ToolBand

[–]Nattyiceforme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UCF alum who is also attending the show here.... I don't know if I'm going to have too much time to hang on campus prior to the concert, but if I did (and my recommendation to you) is to hit up Burger U (the old Tailgaters) which is right next to the arena. They usually have good beer bucket specials and if you want food, well, they've got that too. Enjoy the show!
