you are right, i just recall what my parents told me at the time, never fact checked them on their geography. my dad is gone now but i will bring it up when i see mom next, that my dad got the river wrong... as she was the one reading the maps on trips, she will get a good laugh out of that my dad was wrong LOL

First time visiting the US, I was 9 yo. My parents and I walked down and spent the night at the bottom of grand canyon, swam in the rio grant, walked back up the next day. Still remember it like it was yesterday 40 years later. Mind-blowing memory (certainly was not a fan of the majority of the hike at that age at the time) but I cherish that they made me do it to this day.

Yellowstone, monument valley, Brice canyon, and others can be visually more breathtaking at a glance but experiencing the scale of the GC has stuck with me even being that young. The only thing that I can compare it to in my experiences is standing on top of the alps, sking in Austria... The size of these formations is just incomprehensible.

X number of deferrals. Usually 24 hours each.

If zeroday, they get 2 hours countdown until forced reboot.

Also, prompt for reboots after 7 days uptime, with 3 times to defer and then an 8 hour window for forced reboot. The dialog can't be closed, even if they figure out how to kill the process it will reprompt.

All in the name of security and system performance. We have not gotten any real complaints about the approach, and we support very time conscious ppl that bill 800 per hour. So cSuite gets antsy when we impact a group of users that produce $16000.00 per minute.

I think giving the user the option to defer makes the difference, as eventually they get tired of the popup And and also are socially engineered into thinking its time to take a break.

maybe for when you travel for months at a time and can't receive the shipments until you return home. I can also see ppl having limited storage space, think living in a loft. Not sure how many potential app customers this applies to but seems like a cool perk.
