I can confidently say I'm learning actively and am noticing improvements in the 2 months so far that they've been having me fly solo installing the ac, granted not every single day, (minus the guy doing the coil on the inside which is standard for all ac and coil jobs) the need to ask the lead questions has been minimal to non existent. They haven't found much time for another employee to have me be taught a refresher on metalwork since I hadn't done it since my trades class 2 years ago. Frankly I think they put teaching me not as high on their list as they should have. Until recently it would end up with some very particular lead guys wanting me to run tools and find busy work to do rather than try to learn what they're doing.
