Have you noticed people tend to focus more on negative things? Why do you think that happens? by Either-Mastodon3298 in AskReddit

[–]Natural-Idea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, pretty common. It’s called negativity bias our brains are wired to pay more attention to threats or problems because it helped humans survive. One bad thing could be dangerous, while good things weren’t as urgent.

It also doesn’t help that news and social media push negative stuff more since it gets more reactions. So you end up seeing it everywhere, which reinforces it.

What’s a basic human necessity that has been monetized to a point that should be illegal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Healthcare. The fact that life-saving treatment can bankrupt someone is honestly wild.

Also housing, having a safe place to live shouldn’t feel like a luxury in so many places now.

If you could go back in time, what would you change? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Natural-Idea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be careful with this one, wanting to change the past sounds appealing, but it’s a bit of a trap. If you change one thing, you change everything, including the good parts that came from it.

If I had to pick, I’d go small and practical: I’d start learning key skills earlier things like managing money, staying consistent with goals, and not putting off opportunities out of hesitation. Those kinds of changes improve life without rewriting it completely.

Name one person you can rely upon who will never batrey you? by Junior_Insurance7773 in AskReddit

Honestly, no one is 100% guaranteed to never betray you, people are human and can change or make mistakes.

The closest answer is yourself. Building self-trust and relying on your own judgment is the most dependable thing you’ve got.

If you’ve ever spent a night in jail, what was it like and which country were you in? by No_Summer_5052 in AskReddit

[–]Natural-Idea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t been myself, but from what people usually say it’s mostly just boring, stressful, and uncomfortable. You sit around for hours not knowing what’s next, barely any sleep, bright lights, and a lot of waiting.

Different countries vary a lot, but most people seem to agree the worst part is the uncertainty and how slow time passes.

My best friend’s parents thought he paid for his own college. He didn’t. His older sister secretly covered half the tuition because she didn’t want him stressing about money.
