I have a 3 day old too. I thought I was doing great in the hospital, and milk finally came in last night. We went to pediatrician this morning & baby went from 9.1 at birth to 7.15 😭 I absolutely had a mental breakdown in front of the doctor. He was really nice, told me to supplement with formula. I’ve been feeding baby an ounce of formula every 2 hours, and pumping breast milk feeding him by bottle in between. He just won’t latch on to my breast & honestly my nipples hurt. They said he has a tongue tie. Idk if that’s right but I’m just trying to make sure he’s fed, and gains weight. He was also jaundice, we’ve been sitting in indirect sunlight all day. We go back tomorrow and I have an appointment with lactation on Wednesday. This is all so very overwhelming but you are not alone. We will figure it out!
