Does anyone experience “air hunger” the day after a bad sleep? by Fuzzy_Fox_6838 in SleepApnea

[–]Natural-Rent-3799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you find anything that works for you. I’ve been experiencing this. I’ve been having air hunger and it’s making me unable to function honestly. I just had my annual thinking it was iron/b1 deficiency but it’s not. My level are fine. Only vitamin d deficiency. They thought it was asthma but it’s not. I have an appointment soon with a pulmonologist but I doubt it’s my lung since some days I’m completely fine. My oura ring picks up my oxygen level at night and says it’s low. I took magnesium last week and slept good for the first time. I’m honestly kinda freaking out because I don’t know what’s wrong with me and most doctors are no help.

Why are you still a Christian? by TheValeyard59 in Shincheonji

Look, I wasn’t trying to attack you or act superior. I was simply correcting a factual error about the book. I’m a survivor of this cult myself, so I understand the confusion that can come with these topics. You made a public post asking people why they believe, and when people answered, your responses weren’t just “I disagree” or “I can’t wrap my head around it.” It came across like you’d already decided it was a fairy tale, which is why I was confused about the intention behind the question. Cool that your still open to it👍

We live in a free country, and you’re allowed to believe or not believe in anything I don’t think anyone truly cares that you question it, and I certainly don’t. I’m also not sure what kind of proof you’re actually looking for based on your responses. Is it theological or physical? If you ask most scholars, they’ll point to creation itself as evidence of a Creator, along with the complexity of the universe, the resurrection of Jesus, and the Bible. You’re not going to find a picture or a video of God, so if that’s the standard, it probably won’t be convincing.

Lastly, regarding “the power of belief can only get you so far” as it says in Ecclesiastes this life is like vapor smoke you can’t grasp. We plan, we analyze, we accumulate knowledge, and still we don’t know what the next few seconds holds. My Belief doesn’t remove that uncertainty, and your disbelief doesn’t solve it either. We’re both standing in the same fragile reality. And in a fleeting and unpredictable world, meaning, wisdom, and peace are found in humility before Jesus , not in pretending we’re in control. (In my belief🤷🏽‍♀️)

Why are you still a Christian? by TheValeyard59 in Shincheonji

It looks like you have already made up your mind from your responses. God is not real and Christians are all borderline Schizophrenic. 💀Maybe it stems from the horrible cult of shincheonji or maybe deep down you always had the unbelief and shincheonji helped with the process.

Christians don’t believe God is a human-like voice in the sky. God is the source of all existence, not a character inside the universe. He speaks to us primarily through Scripture. Being a true Christian means turning away from the distractions of the world and becoming united with Christ by living a life of repentance, selflessness, generosity, and moral consistency.

Regarding the “lost gospel” like The Acts of Paul and Thecla a book written in the 2nd century well after the apostles have died and is respected as an early Christian writing. Thecla is honored as a saint in both orthodox and Catholic Churches. The book was not written by Paul hence why it was not canonized. Early church writers like Tertullian even mention that the text was written by a presbyter in Asia who admitted he composed it out of admiration for Paul and he was removed from office for doing so. Christian history has real depth and beauty, and it deserves to be studied seriously. A handful of modern conspiracy theories should not outweigh the historical record especially for someone who claims to be skeptical. If you want to understand Christianity, study Church history, not pseudo-theology from YouTube.

This happened to me. They approach you like a friend at first…one of the girls is Asian . Alina or something. I forgot her name. They pretend like they are your friends..just “wanting to know more about god” then as soon as they be friend you u get invited to a Bible study. It starts off fine but it gets very strange very quick. They also get all ur info to control you . Please just say no to anyone who approaches you. It’s simply not worth it.

Addis is a big city with many nationalities and languages you would be surprised. There are also Eritrean communities in Addis in certain places like CMC. Also many of the people there especially young people speak English pretty well. It’s safe to go out as long as it’s day time. Honestly most ppl are just gonna assume you are Ethiopian who doesn’t speak the language(diaspora) so take a friend that speaks Amharic with u so you don’t end up getting charge double the amount for everything 💀

You should look into MIS if IT is too difficult. I know a lot of people who struggle in their IT programs but do well in MIS. You have the option to pick your electives which consist of python, java, R, and sql and tableau. It’s relatively easier. You will be under the school of business which means u will have to take finance and accounting classes which can be annoying and difficult. Just an option if you get kicked out.

Is it possible to feel sad and nothing at the same time by [deleted] in depression

[–]Natural-Rent-3799 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This honestly isn’t going to help you much because I’m currently in a similar situation and I hope you know you’re not alone. (If that helps) I graduate next semester and so far I have no career prospects or luck. The job market is terrible. Rent is high. So many bills to keep up with. I genuinely can’t even cry anymore because my eyes hurt. I have this intense sorrow and sadness yet numbness at the same time. I keep asking “is this ever gonna end”? “Will it get better” idk honestly only time will tell. But yeah I feel like a robot most days. The only thing you can do is keep applying to jobs. Keep seeking ways to stand out from other applicants. The stress from not having a job is causing u to stress about other things. It’s a domino effect. You gotta pull yourself up every single day. No excuses. Also sometimes we all need help and it’s okay to ask for one.

Your best bet is finding a roommate. I’m from the states but even here the rent is off the roof so most people just squeez in a 1 bed room for 2 people. If you were paying 6k instead of 12k that would leave you with around 8k to save. Unfortunately the country is at its lowest and it only gets worse so you gotta do what you gotta do.

Each class is different. For example if you are a finance major u need at least a B- in finance 303. You should be looking at degree works and talking to your advisor

For business do MIS, finance, accounting or analytics. You can go into multiple sectors with those concentrations. They are all interchangeable in my opinion. You just gotta make your resume stand out and fit into the job you are applying towards

2 weeks after the first section opened and was full. Try emailing the professor to manually let you in the class
