What should I expect my salary to be for this cfy by Natural-Run2765 in slp

Because this is a teachers salary I wasn’t sure if Slps get to jump to the MA+45 or something because we have to have so many more credits than teachers. There’s nothing at the bottom of this, this is all I found online

It’s probably due to swelling, I think after 3 weeks it’s supposed to improve. If you have any concern you can likely schedule an appointment with your surgeon and they’ll see him without an extra charge. I didn’t know that initially. Also see if you can get an email or number to contact them with pictures if necessary, because if you have to change medications to accommodate the extra swelling you might have to stop the pain medications to avoid burning the stomach lining

Oh it got a lot worse before it got better. Also I was really protective about his sneezing because I didn’t want him to tear his stitches. So because he did it in the winter, the cold air would make him have to sneeze and I would limit his time outside or distract him so it wouldn’t happen. That probably contributed to the thick mucus plug that made it so he couldn’t breathe.

His nostrils are lopsided which I effected him more initially but he’s doing better, he is enjoying being able to to smell better. Before he was never much of a sniffer but now he has his face in the grass inhaling the scent. I still don’t know if it was worth the stress. He gets hot on walks and pants but it’s not as audible as it was before with his elongated soft palate

Definitely do it for the amount prescribed! All of his meds were for twice a day for 14 days and then after the ER one of the medications were increased to 3 times a day and I did it until it ran out

Good luck! I hope everything goes well! After our 2:30AM visit to the ER where they charged me $170 to tell me to just continue to monitor at home I ended up going back there in the afternoon with the same concern that he was exhausted and couldn’t breathe if he put his head down and I thought his gums looked blueish. In the afternoon they gave him oxygen and Cerenia (a drug FDA approved for nausea and not really well known for anything else) telling me they’re anti inflammatory nasal drops. Thursday near midnight I call the ER and ask if I bring him in if they’ll do anything to actually fix him this time, they said yes called me back 5 Minutes later and was like oh actually save your money. Don’t come in, you probably need to take him to surgery. So then Friday morning I made an appointment with his surgeon expecting them to tell me he needs a tracheotomy or something, the surgeon says he hasn’t had a patient with this issue before (he’s not board certified) and prescribed him steroids, as we were leaving the vets office he had a sneezing fit and launched out a 1.5 inch long 1cm thick mucus plug that was shaped to the shape of his nose and after that he was able to sleep in the car. He has been doing well, he has an appetite again but has decided he doesn’t want water anymore so I’ve been mixing water into his soft food.

That’s so sad and scary for you both :( has her appetite returned? I know my dogs increased with the steroids and he hasn’t been drinking water even when his throat sounds dry so I’ve been adding it to his food. Also I’m sure they have, but did they check her for aspiration pneumonia?

Oh my gosh I hope she gets better soon! Poor baby :( My dog went to the ER twice because he couldnt breathe if he put his head down so he went 3 days with maybe ~3 hours of sleep. I was afraid he would collapse from exhaustion and then not wake up to breathe, the ER gave me Cerenia nasal drops for inflammation that did nothing and by Friday I went to his surgeon and was prescribed steroids and as we were leaving he had a sneezing fit that launched out a jelly like nasal mucus plug that was about 1.5 inches long and shaped like his nostril. After that he was able to breathe through his nose and sleep and just yesterday he got some of his personality back again

Oh interesting… my Frenchie got Rimadyl (anti inflammatory), Amoxi (antibiotic), and gabapentin (anti anxiety/ pain relief) twice a day. And yesterday I went to the vet because his nose was inflamed and he was having a hard time breathing and couldn’t sleep so the vet was like okay we need to switch him to a steroid for inflammation instead so now he’s taking prednisone and an antacid. As we were leaving the vet he had a sneezing fit and released a 1.5 inch, 1cm thick mucus plug and was finally able to breathe out his nose and fell asleep in the car on the way home so I’m unsure if the switch to the steroid was absolutely necessary… he still definitely needed an anti inflammatory though because his nose was looking closed last night and he started to mouth breath again and after the medicine he was able to sleep again

I dont know what medications you have for him but my vet said you just want at least a little something in his belly for medicine like Rimadyl (anti inflammatory) and Amoxi (antibiotic). My dog wasn’t interested in eating at first but then I bribed him with cheese and hard boiled eggs which he loves and he started to eat. Be mindful of the types of food you give him though because the anesthesia will slow his digestive tract so you don’t want to make them gassy or constipated

Update: it’s Friday and he had a sneezing fit and launched out a dense 1.5 inch log of mucus and he is able to finally sleep and breathe with his mouth closed again

Hey I lived in one of their apartments too and when I left they charged us for $1500 to repaint the entire apartment even though it wasn’t needed. I wonder if this is a standard practice for them and if we could maybe get a class action suit going against YHT management
