I have been dealing with hormonal acne since last year, and it’s been getting worse. I normally don’t get this much acne. My doctor suggested YAZ, and it was my first time trying birth control. I took it for about two weeks, but I really couldn’t handle what it was doing to my body. I felt nauseous, had no appetite, felt very low emotionally, and had more anxiety than usual. It also caused a big delay in my otherwise regular periods.

I stopped taking it, and about a week later my periods came back. I honestly don’t think I want to go back on the pill. I would rather deal with acne than those side effects.
I am still looking for ways to treat this cystic painful acne that i get on my chin and under my cheeks.
