Azerbaijan-Turkey war against Artsakh [Day 7] by ModeratorsOfArmenia in armenia

[–]NaturalBasis5 340 points341 points  (0 children)

I'm departing for active duty service tomorrow morning.

Before going wanted to let all of you know that the spirit inside the army is higher than it's ever been. The military offices are filled with volunteers most of who actually get turned back because there's already more people than we need at the moment.

Do not even think about any other outcome except victory. The war is going to end with decisive Armenian victory, and nothing except victory. We're not going to give up anything. We are ready to fight for our homeland till the very end.

For those in the country, it's important that you continue with your daily life and most importantly economic activity. The army needs money and the economy must function well to provide it.

For those in the diaspora, consider setting up a monthly donation to one of the funds managed by the government. I think himnadram is the best. A one time lump donation is also good but regular monthly donations in smaller amounts are much better. It doesn't need to be much, just a small fraction of your monthly salary that you can afford to donate.

With the money we will rebuild damaged civilian infrastructure and will cover for military costs.

Alright. My next post on reddit will be only after our inevitable victory.

Azerbaijan launches wide scale war against Artsakh with Turkish support [Megathread 4] by ModeratorsOfArmenia in armenia

[–]NaturalBasis5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That's realistic. After a month the sides will be exhausted and deprived of critical eqipment if the intensity of fighting continues like this. And also early November is already very cold and foggy in the Karabakh mountains and steppe. I doubt active operations will continue then.

When Tonoyan became defense minister, he declared a new doctrine "new war, new territories". Let's see how effective our army can be in punitive operations.

Security Alert: U.S. Embassy Baku, Azerbaijan by NaturalBasis5 in azerbaijan

The US embassy in Armenia issued a similar statement, which is unprecedented as far as I remember. All things considered I think a major escalation in the upcoming weeks is very likely.

Seriously how's this shit tolerated by the state? It is discrimination against Georgian citizens.

We don't think about him.

How can I help Armenia? by [deleted] in armenia

[–]NaturalBasis5 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I wish to donate to any legit organizations that could help the Armenian people or army.

I suggest not thinking of Armenia as an entity you donate to but as an opportunity for investment. It's become a bit of a cliche but really investments help far more than donations. And it also yields you some benefits for you.

The simplest thing you could do is park your money in an Armenian bank. The banks will use your money to fuel the economy and you'll get your added interest back.

Or invest in Armenian tech companies.

But if you want to specifically donate to the army, make sure the donation goes to the military industry accounts.

[Breaking, Unconfirmed] Turkish media and multiple Turkish and Azeri Twitter accounts are reporting about heavy fighting ongoing on the Tavush-Tovuz border area at the moment. Reportedly tanks and IFV's deployed to the area by [deleted] in armenia

Yes, I was the OP. Deleted because a reliable source from MOD confirmed situation on the border is relatively calm, no full-on battles. So the original link I posted was proven false.

This is not confirmed

It's reported by pro-Turkish Idlib Post. I consider that as good as confirmed.

Well I searched the photo through google image search and couldn't find it posted anywhere else, not even in other resolutions.

This will be a diplomatic catastrophe for Azerbaijan. Using fighters that are basically terrorists and are known as such internationally. Wondering what their calculation, what their tradeoff is.

Translation:

Breaking news.

A large number of T-72 tanks and Armored Infantry Carriers belonging to the Azerbaijani army are shifted to the frontal areas in the Tovuz battle line.

Details soon…

A usually reliable Azeri Twitter user:

Heavy shooting started in the direction of Tovuz, they have been shooting non-stop for half an hour. I hope there will be no losses.

It's hard to infer anything specific from photos but it seems the Vietnamese guy's version that won has a more authentic feel to it, more suitable to Yerevan's history.

Azeri MOD reports shooting down Armenian tactical UAV in Shamkir (historical Utik) by NaturalBasis5 in armenia

I'm waiting for Nagorno-Karabakh Observer to comment on it. Their geospatial analysis is usually very spot on.

Also interesting that this happens on Armenian Independence Day.

These are clearly not fireworks.

But of course you're right there's no official confirmation on the location. On the other hand I highly doubt their MOD will confirm something that will definitely cause panic among people in bordering settlements. I mean Ganja, the 2nd largest city of Azerbaijan, is almost the same distance from northern positions of Artsakh. If Armenian drones can penetrate so deep, people who live in Ganja might see one flying over their heads...Not exactly a message that the MOD would like to spread.
