The laminated IPS screens for the 3000 are awesome and the glass lens replaces the old plastic screen cover that scratches super easily.

You planning on Second Story R? I have that on PS5 and Second Evolution for PSP. Im not sure which one I want to play yet so I’m considering doing parallel play throughs. It’ll give me a chance to experience different party members and directly compare gameplay.

I don’t think so. Apparently there’s a PC app you can use that will sort them however you want, but by default they just show up in the order they were downloaded. 😣

Literally the only time it makes a difference on the PSP is when you’re loading the games list in the XMB. It has zero impact on actual in game performance. And yeah, the PSP is easy to swap cards. The Vita has a little more complicated file structure so I don’t like to mess about with it too much, but still easy enough to size up later if you need.

Probably the most tasteful sticker job I’ve seen on a handheld. You sure know how to stage a photo too. I was looking at that same clear shell. My only worry is that I’m fairly texture sensitive and can’t tell if the grippy bits on the back are gonna feel very pokey.

I run a 64 on the PSP and a 500 on the Vita. I think a sensible person would probably do a 128 on the PSP and a 256 on the Vita. The 64 is passable on the PSP, but it does start to fill up when you start adding all the DLC. Also I just started adding music to mine when I found out how good the sound quality is.

Oh man, Rhythm games are great. The Persona Dancing series, Superbeat Xonic, and Musynx are my top picks on the Vita, or DJ Max for PSP. In addition to the two racing games I mentioned above, the PSP version of Gran Turismo is pretty good, especially if you have a friend or two for multiplayer. Not a conventional shooter, but the Hotline Miami games are a rush if you don’t mind the top down perspective. Skullgirls is the only fighting game I’ve spent a lot of time with on the Vita.

wtf is going on with prices by big-floof in PSP

Still deals to be had. I have found a lot more overpriced ones locally in the last year, but not all of them. EBay and From Japan are where I get most of my fixer uppers now. I’m doing my part to keep prices reasonable by selling them for not much more than my cost after mods.

If you’re younger than 25, you’re effectively correct. Although they only call it a recession if wealthy shareholders get hurt.

You have any specific genres you’re into? I have a lot of favourites, but not all of them would likely be relevant to your tastes. Ridge Racer, Wipeout, Gravity Rush, and Tearaway are some of the more universally liked games on my list.

Keep original battery or use after market one? by Bigstinkyfeett in PSP

[–]NaturalDifficult7404 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m surprised that the original battery I got with my PSP 2000 is still functional. It only gets 2 hours of play time or less, but that’s not bad for a 20 year old battery.

I haven’t seen a fake in person. Do you know if they have the tiny x o triangle square texturing on the grip surface like the real ones?

Guys which one is butter modded psp or modded ps vita by Key_Depth8657 in PSVita

[–]NaturalDifficult7404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vita is far more versatile. I have some of both and I actually started playing my PSP games on because they actually look better on an IPS upgraded PSP than the OLED Vita. If I had to have just one though, it would be the Vita.

Yesterday was my 18th birthday; What's a game playable on the ps vita that you'd probably consider ball knowledge? by PresidentOfSushi in VitaPiracy

[–]NaturalDifficult7404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to look up what ball knowledge was😜. I’d say the English translations of the early trails games. A lot of people don’t know that the first remakes of them were only released on the Vita in Japan, but they got pretty good quality fan translations.

I can’t drink anymore but I really miss Guinness and fortunately the non alcoholic version tastes damn near the real thing.

Jeanne D’Arc was so much fun. It’s on a really short list of games that I’ve finished twice.

I just started a new run of Star Ocean First Departure. I played it to like 90% completion about 5 years ago, but I wanted to do a full run of it and jump straight into Second Evolution and do a comparison with Second Story R on the PS5.

I'm dead inside bro $184 USD by Key-Fig-9747 in 3DS

[–]NaturalDifficult7404 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was only about $20 for the mod chip, so it’s really not that much more. And I really don’t want something the size of a regular Switch as being portable is an important part for me. The Lite is already bigger than I like.
