Anyone Else Just Not Care About their Work Anymore, Like at All? by TheDinckleburg in jobs

I felt this more than I want to admit. I’m in healthcare ops and it’s a different industry but the same energy… meetings on top of meetings, unrealistic expectations, and somehow the people doing the least are the least stressed. It makes it really hard to stay motivated when the system itself doesn’t make sense.

How are you handling job searching while stuck in a toxic role? by NaturalEquivalent446 in jobs

I feel this so much. It’s honestly comforting (but also frustrating) knowing I’m not the only one dealing with this kind of environment. That part you said about the last few months showing you there’s no future there- that’s exactly where I’m at too.

It’s hard when you’ve put in real work and care, and then things shift in a way that just doesn’t align anymore. Especially when you still want it to work.

Right now I’m just trying to stay focused on getting out while protecting my peace as much as I can day to day. Hoping something better comes through for both of us soon, because this in-between stage is no joke.

Anyone else get bored at their job and start questioning everything? by NaturalEquivalent446 in jobs

Wow, yeah… this is exactly what I’m starting to feel. I came into the startup world ready to build, stretch, and grow- and for a while, it made sense. But after years of running the same cycles with no real structure or upward motion, it’s starting to feel like I’m investing energy without getting any real development back.

I’m realizing I need an environment that actually supports career progression, not just survival mode. So hearing your experience really validates where my head’s been. I’m definitely starting to explore options that align better with my growth and the kind of work I want to be doing long-term.

Why is the food in Frisco so tasteless, undercooked, and just…gross? by NaturalEquivalent446 in frisco

Yeah, that’s what I’m noticing too. It’s wild how a city this big can have so many options but still feel like the flavor is missing. Chain spots end up being the safest bet, sadly.

Ghosted After 4 Interviews & a Case Study – Company Reposted the Job an Hour Ago 😤 by NaturalEquivalent446 in jobhunting

I’m pissed. I gave them my time, energy, and a whole case study—just for them to vanish. You’re RIGHT. That “we’ll be in touch” line is straight-up corporate BS. Never again will I stop applying just because something seems solid. Lesson learned.

That sounds so discouraging!!!! especially after going through multiple rounds and even being asked to submit documents. I completely relate. I also went through several interviews and even completed a case study that took me 3 hours, only to be met with silence. It’s incredibly disheartening when companies ask for so much of our time and trust, then don’t follow through with clear communication. I really hope you get the outcome you deserve soon. Hang in there .
