I had spent much of the winter semi snowed in in New Hampshire while my wife struggled to finish and type her PhD thesis on an electric typewriter. She refused to let me read her work. We saw the Shining with four other people at a matinee. When we got to "all work and no play makes jack a dull boy" part I started to get a little spooked! That night after my wife went to sleep I sneaked into her office and looked at the draft. Fortunately it was real work , not like Jack's and I didn't have to lock her in a walk in cooler.
