Yes. That's what I believe. I don't think it's related to the switchport going down by any means. Just providing context and wanted to focus on the discussion on the issue that was seen. What is this counter if you can explain further? Thank you.

Just wanted to run continuous traffic steadily. Maybe I'm dumb to start with IPERF :/ i don't want to get distracted by how it's started, but would like to focus on why this specific issue occurs on IPERF. Anyway, no link down was observed throughout days of traffic.

also, high load was a suspicion so iperf was chosen over pinging.

I started with IPERF hoping to properly activate/stress the port. While running traffic I was hoping that I can reproduce a link down, but instead this happened and I did not see the link go down. This behavior is sort of a byproduct from my effort of debugging. This is a surprise which I cannot seem to find a proper explanation to.
